Hello ... I live in a tropical paradise where bananas are grown and we have several varieties including the "Lady fingers" bananas. We often see straight bananas and also doubles, so two bananas are joined together in the same skin and it is pretty common. Sugar bananas are a smaller and sweeter fruit. Lady fingers are smaller and slender. If you are a creationist you would say that God made only one banana and it has only been around for six thousand years. We already know that there are a huge variety of fruits. We have so many tropical fruits here that it would be impossible for them to be gathered and transported on the Ark by Noah and his family along with hundreds of varieties of nocturnal animals and marsupials and crocs and cassowary, emu, tree kangaroo's and hundreds more lizards and spiders and snakes and the list goes on and on and on ... so just to fit all of the creatures that come from down under in Australia into a boat, one would need to build something bigger than we have available today, let alone every other creature great and small from every other country all over this planet. Some of our native animals and our wetland rainforests are visited by scientists from all over the world. We have trees that are ten thousand years old. Our traditional owners here say that they have been here for forty thousand years. The great barrier reef is not six thousand years old.

I would at least make a distinction between creationists who are scientists in one way or another and Ray Comfort, who simply calls himself an "author." Certainly all that is said in defense of evolution is not true, even if well intended. For example, many people do not realize evolution happens in more ways than Darwinian natural selection. Likewise, there is no reason to take Ray Comfort to be a spokesman for what other "creationists" have to say in defense of their beliefs. But I suspect you know this. Ray is an easy target.

Okay...I am a Christian and I love the Lord with all of my heart...
However, your comment about the missing link did make me laugh! Because I agree with you on this particular argument. While I watch the video and think, "What an amazing God we have that He designed this...," I also think it's not the best argument/evidence to be presented.

Have you seen the one about peanut butter? This one impressed me...I'm curious what you would think...

I say feed the banana to the apes in Darwin's Origin of the Species - that is even, more logical since the banana exists !

They're grasping at straws. Who would have thought that you could nail Creationism's coffin shut with a banana?
