It is TRUE.
God loves us THAT MUCH!

I am a good man. I just don't believe. I REALLY want to believe, but in my heart, I don't. Why do complete dirtbags(as long as they believe) somehow have more legitimacy than me. I have heard people say that you need this god thing to be moral. How black must someones heart be, to need the fear of eternal reprisal, to be a decent person. I suggest this kind of person is truly dangerous.

We know life evolved gradually from single cell bacteria into current life (including us humans).

Did those bacteria end up in heaven or hell? If not, at some point along the evolutionary path animals started being sent into heaven and hell, even though their parents were not.

What do you think this point was? How was it chosen?

(If you don't accept evolution, this question is not meant for you)

"...I will kneel, and let him strike off my head."

This was the claim made by one of the princes of Germany, and it ultimately pursuaded Charles V to allow the reading of the Augsburg confession.

Would you be able to make that statement?

Over the years many Christians have told me that Jesus knows what we go through and has been through everything we have. Nowhere does it state that He was married so how can He possibly know the issues married people go through?

as they certainly do not get married any more {about 78% are just living together}

In other words, if God can't be understood intellectually but only by merging with His Oneness, why would you be doing anything else BUT that? If that merging is the cure for your suffering and ignorance, why would you keep suffering, knowing this is the situation?

An atheist is someone wo has studied all relegions and all asspects of each relligion and then after all that study comes to the conclusion that there is no God. Is there really truly anyone on this site who can say that they are a true athiest or do they just deny God based on the little bits of "facts" they know?

What makes it stand out... many many people don't even think when they do it... to them it's just like... when they "reject jesus" it's just like they're in a restaurant and not asking for ketchup.. are they rejecting the ketchup? Many people reject religion all the time and think it's a load of nonsense... just like i think Islam is... i rejecting cheese on my toast i rejected the tramp on the street who asked me for a pound and i rejected the football that almost broke my nose the other day... what makes your belief in jesus such a special choice? If it was we would all know about it... BUT MANY people don't... if god were very fair he would make it 100% clear and not just leave a book 2000 years ago... like lockign someone in a room with 2 boxes and expecting them to choose one box over the other... Muslims tell me all the time i mustn't reject allah... just as i "should reject jesus"... what makes rejecting jesus more special...

There's is physical proof of dinosaurs in the fossil record. Some people (mostly christian) say dinosaurs never existed. There's proof for evolution in experiments with fruit flies and species of dogs, yet these people deny the existence evolution. They focus on the semantics of science, citing that it's only a "theory", completely unaware that most everything in science is just a theory. Even gravity is only a theory, but they don't deny that. (They used to however). How about the age of the earth being a few thousand years, even though the geological record goes back for eons?

How can seemingly well-adjusted and intelligent people deny things that have such solid proof? I believe that such things as atoms, gravity and evolution are the mechanics of God's work and proof that intelligence is behind all creation.

Who here agrees with me that if the Abrahamic deity exists as described by Christians the only choice for people of good will is (theistic) Satanism?

If their god is so evil that he has a concept of hell and would send people to hell for not worshipping him...
And if this god's way to save people is to have humans spread his word, knowing that *other people* are not going to be trusted by people based on words alone...
And if this god wants people to be saved, he's doing a terrible job, and if he's omnipotent, he *knows* this...he *KNOWS* that many of the people he created have been created to require EVIDENCE, not words....but he does NOTHING...

Then isn't the only choice being an adversary to this god?

Some Christians want to really prove their god exists to those of us who don't believe he does...

If you don't believe this god is real now, wouldn't you HAVE to oppose him if led to believe he was real?

I live in the UK and find that Muslim people are incapable or just dont want to integrate with mainstream society-do you believe that letting them have their own state-in Bradford or Birmingham would ease tensions between Muslims and everyone else?-they could also be monitored a lot more easily.
I am particualry interested in Female muslims views-the chance to have an opinion is for the taking!

Ok so I'm confused here. I hear a lot of people say Jesus is / was God. I'm not here to bash religion. But if they are the same entity why did Jesus pray to God and call him the father?
Wouldn't that mean he was praying to himself, and calling himself his own father? I seem to remember from a passage in the bible that Jesus is seated to the right hand of the father.
If they were the same would that mean he is sitting ---- Way too confusing huh? I think they are seperate? what do you think and why?

With true religious freedom, scientific knowledge, and archeological discoveries have come together in the study of the Bible and other ancient documents have Christians started to see the truth. An example of this can be found in the British newspaper the "Daily News" 25/6/84 under the heading "Shock survey of Anglican Bishops" We read that a British television poll of 31 of 39 Anglican Bishops found 19 to believe that it is not necessary for Christians to believe that Jesus is God, but only "His supreme agent." Muslims too, strangely enough, have been told this over 1400 years ago by God Almighty in the noble Qur'an. The Qur'an tells us that Jesus was not God nor the Son of God (in the orthodox sense), but only a very pious and elect servant and messenger of God. This is even testified to by Jesus himself in John 17:3 "And this is life eternal, that they might know YOU the ONLY true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have SENT."
