Are you sure the "faith" that you speak of and the "faith" that you see exhibited in "every damn religion" is the same kind of faith that is spoken of in this article?

Why is it that you think, feel and believe that it is "an abundance of faith" that is the determining factor in whether one believes that ones religion is 'special' or not?

And that the existence of what (you and others) define and/or describe as "an abundance of faith" is what makes all religions 'the same'?

Regards,

Faith is great as far as what one has faith in is correct. Christians put their trust in God and the promises He has made in the Old and New Testaments. Other beliefs, where they are correct, may get a response from God.

Even if what one has faith in is not correct or only partly correct there can be benefits...

It makes one have a go at things, when otherwise one might shrink back in uncertainty. Living a life in uncertainty isn't easy, even atheists probably 'live by faith', i.e. make all sorts of reasonable assumptions; in their case they have to believe a reality that isn't really going anywhere though.

Thats why all that positive thinking stuff works to a degree, even if a person doesn't believe in any God.

Great Question! Not only do they have an abundance of Faith, most of the worshipers have VERY LITTLE KNOWLEDGE of what they profess to believe! Most of the Believers go to Church only because they were taught they are supposed to and to fit into society! Religion is the Opiate of the masses and the Priests take advantage of it! ( If you are too lazy to work and too scared to steal, you can always maye a living as a Preacher or a Politician).

I think that you are right. There is a lot of faith in other religions. But I have no faith in religion. I trust God. It's personal to the nth degree. So while all those people are discussing religion, what is or isn't a sin, and WWJD, I can rest in my knowledge that me and God; we are good together. I trust Him and he fulfills his word to me. I found that he is trustworthy.

When the rest of the world gets done hashing it out ( as if that will ever happen), I will still be with God where I belong. ( ;

1st thing i recognize is that it's quite unfair to term all those religions out there as damn! 2ndly, it's a pessimistic approach to think tht our religion is nothing special.
3rd of all, faith in god alone raises ur level. faith in the religion implies faith in god-few take it the other(read-wrong) way.
most importantly, u can not compare any1's faith with any other. it's just about: some want others to know it. i must say-ur faith is urs alone.it's neither inferior nor superior to anyone or anything so, have faith in ur faith.....

Ephesians 4:5 says there is" ONE FAITH." in vs. 18 it brings out that the nations are in darkness mentally. So are all religions acceptable to God? NO!(Jusges 10:6,7) So who is the instigator of such religous confustion? The Bible identifies Satan the Devil as "the god of this system of things" (2 Cor.4:4)It warns us that "the things which the nations sacrifice they sacrifice to demons, and not to God." (1 Cor.10:20) How vitally important, then, to make sure that we really are worshiping the true God, the Creator of the heavens and earth, and that our worship is pleasing to him!

I believe that my religion's lack of faith makes it special. I also recognize that all religions are something special...

Well, I agree that religion in itself is based on faith and how we live out our faith. But, i don't agree that my faith is nothing special. It is special to me.

"damn religion," huh? Nice openess.

And as a matter of fact, I do believe that God reveals truth in many places and many forms - including other religions. I also believe that Jesus is God/the Son of God and therefore is, in fact, someone special.
