I look at it this way. An atheist requested prayer be taken out of school so that their children wouldn't feel forced to pray...but isn't that the atheist way? To believe in nothing? So essentially they imposed their beliefs on all other children. There is also a school in Washington (if i remember correctly) that had muslim parents request their prayer needs be suited and got that wish.

What if children want to pray? What if adults want their children to pray? Are we teaching intolerance by suppressing one group while granting another group have rights?

Why do some believe in God. I fully respect your right to, but can you tell me why? Do you believe because you were raised to? Or do you believe because you really do from your heart? This has puzzled me for a lifetime. I don't and I don't understand why some do, but I'm not going to sit here and be disrespectful either. I come to this section to try to understand why there is this belief.

How much faith do you have to believe that you will go to Heaven? Why do you think that you will go to Heaven? Why will you be allowed to enter Heaven?

But if you think that you will be going to hell, why? What makes you think that you will go to hell? What will you do if you know that you are going to hell? =)

if it got stuck as the water level lowered, then all animals would have had to populate the earth from there, which islands make hard to believe. And if Noah sailed around and deposited all the animals where they belonged, why would the Ark be on a mountain? Is it just young-earth creationist/global flood believer pseudo-science? I'm more interested in christian answers, atheists better be funny or smart.

That we were all spirit "brothers and sisters", including Jesus Christ, and Lucifer (before he became Satan)? They just say something like "Mormons believe that Satan was Jesus' brother" or something like that, and I can't figure out why they don't tell the whole story, since I know they know it. I know I've told the whole story here in Y!A many times, yet, they still don't tell it right! What is the big deal?

LUCIFER was a spirit "brother" to all of us, but when he fell and became Satan, he was no-one's brother, spirit or otherwise, including Jesus. He has no hope, no happiness, and no claim on the inheritance of Christ. Jesus is still the only BEGOTTEN of God, still Messiah, still the second member of the Godhead. Lucifer is nothing.

Why Bible so important to Christians, and why differ from Catholic bible? How about MUCH older ancient script and findings in Asia, that goes back to when who knows even older than samarian Tablets/ Samarian civilization are being IGNORED? Why Bible does not explain about the Great pyramids?

If you don't think it's for real, why not? It was discovered prior to 1800, and nobody could read it because they didn't know what language it was. Turns out, it's just a very ancient form of Hebrew.

It takes three years to circumnavigate the globe. Did Solomon's navy establish regular trade with (among others) the indigenous peoples of southwestern North America?
