if it got stuck as the water level lowered, then all animals would have had to populate the earth from there, which islands make hard to believe. And if Noah sailed around and deposited all the animals where they belonged, why would the Ark be on a mountain? Is it just young-earth creationist/global flood believer pseudo-science? I'm more interested in christian answers, atheists better be funny or smart.

You will have to read Genesis again after the flood. It says that there was an earthquake after the flood so strong that it split the continents into 7 parts. This was in the days of Pan I believe. This would explain how animals were spread out all over the world and came to live on the different continents.

Apparently most of the land mass was connected at that time and was separated in later history by Volcanoes, earth quakes, more floods etc.
I have heard that during the Millennium that it will be reconnected. It is in the Bible if I recall but I don't have the book or verse. Seems like it was in the book of Revelations but I'm not sure!!
