because then we would not have the pleasure of studying it.
actually, one of the reasons jews do not believe jesus is the messiah is BECAUSE we are not born with the bible memorized. according to the prophet jeremiah, when the messiah comes, this is exactly what will happen.
Jeremiah 31:32 - "For this is the covenant I will form with the House of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will place My law in their midst and I will inscribe it upon their hearts, and I will be their God and they shall be My people."

With some of the mistakes in the Bible, why would He do that to people? The story of Adam & Eve is a not the word of God, because when members of the same family bear children the offspring are always born with genetic defects including sterility and Mongolism (Down Syndrome). Marry your cousin and have children if you want proof.

Because God was intelligent enough to grant free will. God isn't interested in forcing anyone to do anything. God didn't write the Bible, humans did, so what would be God's point in having humans memorize other's human's manuscript??
You have a very limited view of God, he is beyond and more amazing then human perception. God isn't about confusion and contradictions, but you find much of that in the book called the Bible.

Jeez, look at all the people who were born before the bible was written, and translated, and revised, and censored by the people who proclaimed it the word of god, even though they felt it was necessary to censor and revise that word. How could he have? What version or edition would he have gone with? And assuming he could pick one, what if he picked one that wasn't accepted in the area where that person lived? The religious people there would have burned the person for being blasphemous, all in the name of some god.
Note: In case you didn't get it, this is a joke answer to a ridiculous question. I don't believe in any god.

Because God delights in a humble heart. We can read and memorize the Bible; but we cannot truly understand it without help from God. When we understand that God in His kindness sent a savior to take the punishment for our sins, we turn from our sin, and put our faith in Jesus Christ. When that happens, God makes us new creatures with new desires. We hunger and thirst for the blessed word of God that can only be found in the Holy Bible. God likes that.
"But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;"
1 Corinthians 1:27

Well, why weren't we born with the ability to talk? Crying isn't a very effective form of communication. Why weren't we singing, tap dancing, playing a violin, or reading? What would be the point of having it memorized if we couldn't walk, talk, use a toilet, or anything else?
So we would seek to find him and learn things. Memorization doesn't mean squat. It's the understanding and application of what's in the Bible.

Because one of the most important aspects of his/her design was to give you freedom of choice.
Therefore, unlike it is with the natural and fixed laws established by his/her design, it can be concluded that the Bible, according to the creator himself, was not supposed to be the ultimate guide or the ultimate moral standard for anybody.
Meanwhile, it is obvious by looking at the history of the world, that Freedom of Choice IS what continues to prevail. If God wanted you to breath something other than oxygen, he would have given you another choice. That's not the case with oxygen, but it is the case with the Bible....
You can't go against the Universal/ God will. (Or whatever you choose to call it)
