One must first change the way the mind works, in order to be able to fully embrace & comprehend the truth. For example: One must first remove programmed preconceptions and conditioning, plus all other thoughts and emotions which serve as distractions & hinderances to realization.
The only change will be within yourself, and this is all the change that is necessary. As for there being something else, one of the ultimate truths [of buddhism] is that of unity and interdependance, and another is of the emptiness of independant phenomena.
This means that ultimately within yourself there is everything and there is nothing, and these are not different or contradictory to eachother. There's nothing else, and your pure inner-nature already knows this truth, but your ego pollutes your mind and makes this hard to actually realise & embrace as truth. The truth is known to the mind with subdued ego.
At this stage of buddhist practice if one wishes, one can enter a 'pure-land' (the Earth can be transformed into a pure-land, also), or one can take the Bodhisattvas vows to help all living beings, until they are all saved (through countless lifetimes), or one can strive for futher realization via jhanas (all require some degree of focused meditation practice).

Knowing or seeing a Truth or the Truth of the nature of a thing or experience does not reveal that thing's or that experience's true nature, indeed this is the very nature of the human condition and the reason humans have difficulty assessing the Truth.
The reason...? Perceptions. What we see with our eyes is at odds with our perception because our perceptions of our experiences and the nature of the things we see is one of permanence. Yet what we see with our eyes and what we experience is always impermanent.
Take any situation, experience or thing. Those situations, good or bad or neither good nor bad, those experiences both good and bad and neither good nor bad, those things both good and bad and neither good nor bad are always, always impermanent. A rock turns into sand over time, a TV show lasts a few hours or even minutes, our own Life lasts until death, the sun will eventually burn out and die, a sunset although beautiful will fade away, everything within our experience is thusly impermanent, yet we perceive everything as permanent. Do you not feel sad because that good thing or experience did not last...? Did you not feel glad that bad thing or experience did not last..? Those good and bad feelings arose because of your perception of permanence...you'll say "Oh, I'm sad because that flower faded.." Yet of course the flower faded..it's supposed to fade..!! It is impermanent..!! Yet you've perceived a permanent state for the flower's beauty...
Is there something else after Truth is known..?..Yes, most certainly, it's nature must be perceived as impermanent, for if it is not perceived as such then your perception of what you see is false, if it is false then the decisions you make regarding that experience will likewise be false.
Once your perception changes to match what you see and experience...everything changes....
Peace from a Buddhist....

Truth leads to more truth. In this life we will never have it all.
But once a truth is known, it's a good idea to practice it. In so doing the "truth" becomes in indelible part of your being.

Some sage advice here for any would be seekers of the Truth (with or without gas bills)
"There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers what the universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizzarrely inexplicable.
There is another theory which states that this has already happened."

Truth is individual - there are degrees of truthfulness. Everyone's is different. It is as individual as the minds that uncover it.
Is it possible to even say - 'i have found the absolute truth' - if i am not aware that i have ever been there before?
So yes, when you think you have found it - it changes!
More questions lead to more questions.

Yes, tell the children!
I know that everyone (especially kids) consciously or unconsciously knows the Truth you speak of, but few are able to put it into words. Consider what would happen if a child was properly trained from the beginning.

If you know the truth then you would tell someone else about it especially if it was Good News. The individual can then make a decision for themselves.
We have all done something that is wrong and unacceptable. We are all seeking answers.
I found the answer in JESUS.
Who came to save us from SIN. When you know that you are a sinner, then you are facing the truth.
The Good News is JESUS dealt with our Sin already on the cross.
God knows the beginning from the end, even though you are making choices every day. He saw the horrific and sick ways the Human race would roam. Yet he was willing to die to save us from it. If you imagine every time you lie, steal, covet, or lack love that you place a loved one on that cross, when it should be you on it.
Then you will see what love is, unconditional love, without exception or expectation. Patient. Kind.
We can learn not to steal, not to lie, not to covet, & to love GOD.
Jesus said
"Forgive them Father for they now not what they do?"
There are consequnces to our actions, unless we see the truth of that then we will never understand what truth really is.

Seek fact, not truth... truth is subjective, fact is objective.
No truth higher than The Truth.

The very first answer is correct "You are Truth". There is nothing beyond what you are. It's simple. Give him the 10 points. I've already used too many words.
