I have read many questions / responses from Athiests, Agnostics and Non-Believers that insist that the person of God cannot be proven (or disproven) - can you please explain then how one can insist that the bible is a myth? If God cannot be proven, then how can one prove or insist that the bible is a myth?

This is not a confrontational question - I am merely curious - as always

As I read peoples answers I cant help but see that there is a double standard. Some are not excepting of Christians because they feel Christians r intolerant of others, this is untrue! If u took the time to read the bible instead of picking it a part u might begin to understand that. However if this were true why would it matter to u? Isn't most peoples opinion: this is my life and I will do as I please! Even at the expense of others. It is "MY business NOT your" " It feels good so do it." As i said a double standard. IF others can talk about the things they are doing and their opinions and desire tolerance why cant Christians be given the same... tolerance? WHY does the word CHRISTIAN offend so many?

ok so me and my friends want to start a bible study club. we have adult help but we want to most of it on our own. So we thought that we could show the adults that we were responible enough to handle it on our own. we have gotten most of it taken care of except for the biggest part- the lesson or topic. so if anyone has any ideas please tell me. thank you so much...

I know you don't believe in the God of the Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus etc but do you think there is a possibility that a God exists that say is different from the one of all these religions? There are many agnostic atheists but is there such a thing as a pure atheist who believes with certainty that no God exists? And how can there be 100% certainty when we can't trace anything before the big bang theory!

So I was raised a Catholic, but recently I've been soul-searching and I don't consider myself a Christian any longer. I guess you could consider my religious views as atheism. Almost everyone I know is religious in some way and I feel like my choice to not practice religion may affect my future relationships and raising kids. If anyone has had a similar worry, how was it solved/what were your experiences as you grew older?

Women are being denied access to alternative health treatments, women are being denied birth control if they are not married, of course abortion as well, women are being denied pap smears by some doctors that believe they should not be allowed access to this service.

Where is this? In Nova Scotia, Canada.

It is against the Canada Health Act and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. So why is it being allowed to continue. Is it the religious belief of the magority? Is it the new federal Conservative government?

You see when we talk about religion and womens rights on here it is as if some individuals have no concept of how this mentallity can strip everything from women.

I felt this was a good warning to share with you all here in R&S.
Please comment regarding womens rights and the influence of religion on them and where you think this all could go if we do are not vigelant.

last night something happened that changed the way i thought about spirits. i was starting to fall asleep when i was listening to music then all of a sudden i fell something press on my back. i was being held down although nobody else was in the room with me. i looked up after i was released and i started to cry i don't know what happened. can anyone tell me what happened.

I was looking for a background for my Myspace earlier as Yahoo was down and whatnot. So I figured let me check out if there is any religious backgrounds that i would like such as a Buddhist or Taoist or of any different religious backgrounds as I was curious at what the site for all kinds of backgrounds had to had to offer in terms of religious backgrounds. I saw mostly Christian backgrounds 5 Muslim backgrounds and 4 Wiccan backgrounds but around 30 Christian backgrounds. What's up with that? When people talk about God is the Christian God the only god that people know in America or something? Is that the only definition or characteristic of God that matters or something? Am I missing something here? Is America truly just a Christian nation and only the religion of Christianity exists and matters?
