It is a spiritual warefare out there between believers of Christianity/Religion and those that don't believe. Especially in this "answers" forum. I believe they are not tolerant because they are ignorant and don't want to see anyone elses point of view. Some of their answers are very rude and downright mean & evil.
Also, some people who claim to be Christians answer some of the questions in a way that is not becoming to our faith and not tolerant and would turn me off if I didn't know the truth. Those "inappropriate" answers make all of us look bad.
We are not here to argue about God & our belief - but we are here to be living examples of the love of Christ and His acceptance of all people. He does not condone what everyone does and believes, however, He does love us all unconditionally and accepts us just where we are. That is what is so amazing about His grace.

Understanding is a virtue. Understand that not all people are brought up to believe in Christianity and therefore have no desire to read the bible any more than you have a desire to read the Quran. Those who pick Christianity apart, do so because they think they are right or are insecure in their own faith. It is not your job to judge them, but to Love them and try to understand where they are coming from. Jesus had a different message than John the Baptist.
So Love is the answer and extending that Love and forgiveness /understanding will save you the grief and upset.
Being Christian does not make us right, just opinionated in their eyes.
Our Job is just to put the word out there as seeds. They will grow on fertile soil.

Some of my best friends are Christian. And they DO NOT judge me or condemn me to Hell because what I believe is different. I do not find the word "Christian" as offensive, only the actions of some (not all).
If you want to see intolerance, take a look at ANY question that has the word "witch" or "Wiccan" in it then show me Christian tolerance!

Whoah dude! I think you need a littlexanax. Calm down. Just because not everyone is asserious as you are about anything specific does not mean they look at you specifically as some sort of degenerent. Goodness, your posted question is the exact same thng you are saying others are guilty of.
My suggesstion when you read your bible take the time to actually read it, don't just read the passages your pastor or priest outlines for the Sunday sermon. Maybe that might help you exist a little more Christ-like. Right now, you read as if you are Herod about to kill all male born children for fear of the coming prophesy.

I'm not sure where to begin, as your question is quite riddled with spelling and grammatical errors. Now *that,* I find offensive.
As an agnostic, I really don't have any issues with Christianity only. Having grown up in a Christian household, socializing with many lovely families of the same faith, I know better than to single out Christians. And each one of my friends who share my views on theology are likely to say the same--and most of them grew up in families that had no religious preference. By and large, the issue had is with religions in general. I will not go into the details now, as I know you can run a search anywhere online and find plenty of reasonable arguements against the role religion plays in this world.
The people who speak against intolerance are not being intolerant of those who judge. Indeed, they are voicing a frustration with the actions of so many leaders of the Christian right. It is not Christianity they are intolerant of...'tis the behavior of hateful hypocrites like Ted Haggard, Jerry Falwell, and Pat Robertson. Those 'Christians' who tear down their fellow human beings with titles such as 'evil-doer' and 'degenerate', even when the fact is that these non-Christians are often more accepting of and kind to their fellow man than their Christan counterparts.
I could take this on for ages, but I'll refrain.

Religion and politics are always hotly contested issues - they get people emotionally involved and many feel the need to "be right". You put yourself out their with your love of God, and that is never a bad thing. Understand that the adversity you are seeing can strengthen your faith. Be patient and understanding of others - even when they do not treat you that way! God Bless ~

it's not the bible that's at fault ,in general ,from all the people i've met, christians ARE the most intolerant.i'm not picking on each individual ,but out of the people I'VE met,no one else has tried to push their beliefs down my throat except christians.how can u expect other people to tolerate it when people try to cram their beliefs down those people's throats when not wanted?
this resentment would die down if christians stopped trying to convert others all the time...it's pointless trying to "save" another from a "hell" the other doesn't believe in u know....and in the process of trying to do what you THINK is a favour, you only achieve unpopularity.u have 2 options
(1)get rid of this conversion mania and learn to be tolerant
(2)go on trying to convert and alienate everyone

The word Christian offends people because of its connotations with the fools who put themselves out to be seen and claim to represent the religion. for example, Pat Robertson.

I'm just against people who claim to know the answers and the right to dictate how other people should behave, when they can't even be bothered to use the one-click "Check Spelling" feature here before posting.

You can but you must be able to take criticism. You are a member of a cult who like to spread your believes so that's why you feel picked on.
