stop following the Old Testament and start following the New Testament instead. Does this signal the debate over Creationism is over? Since Christians reject the Books of Moses does that mean it's OK to believe in evolution?

like let's just say you live a really good life, you're practically a saint, but you just didn't believe in god. perhaps you were even pondering the existense of an all powerful, all knowing being, but just seconds before you came to the realization that one existed, BAM!!! you get hit by a train, and you end up having to spend the rest of eternity in hell. now is that the same hell as someone who was a child murderer, who stole money every day of his life from the poor, and just out of pure hatred for god, he took his name in vain every chance he got. or if there are different levels of hell, are there different levels of heaven, and if so, maybe there's a place in heaven where the bad person i just described goes if he accepted jesus as his savior just before having a shoot out with the police.

Does any other Christian find it difficult to listen to sermons, that go on and on about what is really the sabbath, and never hear the preacher say why it matters? Does it matter whether Christmas is in December, or April? H W Armstrong was one of these. Your opinion please.

no one said it glorified black magic (if you payed attention long enough the main character was fighting against it) so why do people make a big spectacle out of such a harmless children's book

Most people don't realize this, but the Magi that came to visit Jesus were actually priests of an ancient Persian religion called Zoroastrianism. This religion taught monotheism, and was the product of a man named Zoroaster, who preached "revealed truth" about there being one God. Does the presence of Zoroastrian priests at the Nativity add credence to the idea that Zoroastrianism was just as inspired by God as Judaism? Did the Magi believe Jesus was the Zoroastrian Messiah? Was there even a Zoroastrian Messiah?

The authors of the Gospel were sending a very subtle but powerful message by placing Zoroastrian priests along with the holy family as Jesus was born. I think this has been one of the most overlooked parts of the whole New Testament.

Any ideas on what it all means?

why do christians reject evolution, but embrace creation.
Academics and scientists provide concrete evidence of evolution.
From police to coroners who authorize exhumation of 1 to 50 yr old plus skeletons for murder investigations,..... to scientists and paleontologists who retrieve fossils and skeletons for academic and scientific scrutiny.

Whether its real tangible evidence,.. ( dinosaur, Tyrannosaurus Rex at the Field Museum Chicago U.S.)... or primate fossils held by world museums everywhere, most (not all) still believe man arrived through creation.
Why do they reject powerful physical evidence,.... yet will believe a shadow on a blanket, or an image on a biscuit.

Staggeringly profuse evidence on one hand,..... and a blanket and a biscuit on the other.
Are christians blind,.. or what?

Speaking about Jesus, Col 1:15 reads:

(KJV)- "Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature"

(NAS)- "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation"

(DBY)- "who is image of the invisible God, firstborn of all creation"

What does it mean to be the "firstborn of all creation"?

AND

John 3:16 says:

(KJV) "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

(NAS)- "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."

(DBY)- For God so loved the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whosoever believes on him may not perish, but have life eternal.

What does it mean to be "begotten"?

Does it seem that Jesus as the "firstborn of all creation" ties in with the idea that Jesus being the "only begotten son" of God?

I'm expecting silly answers. But I would really like to know the Christian perspective. For world peace we have to get on and respect each other. If Christians don't believe Mohamed to have existed or to have been a prophet of God then they are not going to respect or get on with Muslims ever. Does that make sense....?

Jeremiah became the foremost figure in Irish history, life and religion. He became the pariarch of Ireland and is the original "St. Patrick". Before Jeremiah gave his charge of Tamar, Zedekiah's daughter, to king Heremon to wed. He required the abandonment of Bel and serpent worship; and the acceptance of Mosaic law and worship of Yehovah. From this comes the legend that St. Patrick drove the snakes out of Ireland.

The bible says:

"The Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said unto you."
[Bible - John 14:26]

The chief priests and Levites asked John the Baptist, "If you are not the Christ (Messiah), and not Elijah - are you THAT Prophet?"
[John 1:20]

Who is THAT Prophet?

It can be Christ because we know who christ is. It cant be Elijah because he is already denying it. Which Profit is he refering to?-

A rare celestial phenomenon of near-miraculous coincidence of size and distance that the moon appears as exactly the right size to cover the sun so perfectly and reveal the corona. Total eclipses are widely regarded as one of Nature’s greatest spectacles. The chill and sweep of the Moon’s shadow, the sparkle of Bailey’s beads, and the sight of the corona blazing across the darkened daytime sky are life-altering experiences for some observers. If the Moon were slightly smaller than the Sun, the best eclipses would be annular ones with no dramatic corona or blackening of the daytime sky. If the Moon were slightly larger, the full glory of the chromosphere and prominences surrounded by the glowing corona would be lost. Fortunately, the Moon is “just right.” Earth is the only planet in the solar system with spectacular solar eclipses. Thanks to an apparently improbable coincidence, the Sun and the Moon are almost exactly the same size as seen from Earth. The Sun is 400 times larger than the Moon, but it is also 400 times farther away.
