I believe the teachings of Muhammad are more closely followed by Muslims than the teachings of Jesus are followed by Christians. I know that true Muslims believe in closely following the five Pillars, which include directing their lives to the way Allah explained them to live according to the teachings Muhammad expressed in the Qur'an, instead of changing the teachings to suit their own needs. This is one of the reasons there are so many denominations in America and throughout the world in the Christian faith, because many people want to change the meaning of God's word to suit their needs, not the other way around. I don't believe Muslims are "out to get us," I dont believe the way Malcom X protrayed Islamic belief to be true, and I don't believe the war in Iraq or the attack on the U.S. has anything to do with Islamic religion, either. Those were radical groups trying to evoke hate and anger, and they succeeded. They used people's biased nature to fuel a rage that shouldn't even be there in the first place.
Will there ever be world peace? Unfortunately, I don't believe it possible. Why? Because governments don't want world peace. Wars are major money making opportunities for a lot of people, and very beneficial for governments around the world. Because of this, peace is not possible.
But, I agree with you. Not respecting other religions cause a lot of problems. It's the same with all denomination of the Christian faith, too. By constantly bickering about our beliefs to others, we are just spinning our wheels and making no progress. The devil is the author of confusion, and here lately, he's been writing up a storm. ;-)
Have a good'n,
James

Personally, I know he existed, but I do not think he was a prophet, but a wanna be prophet, who made stuff up to try and get respect. Look at how he changed his tune about the Jews and christians after they rejected his claims to be a prophet. He got made and changed his prior tolerance to kill all infidels. This is not the action of a prophet, but a spoiled child. I think its very sad that he convinced so many, and think he's probably an antichrist on a large scale considering how many have murdered based on his words. Just look at how muslim women are treated! They have to have 4 witnesses if they're raped or they become murder victims for having the nerve to accuse a man of something. Don't know of many rapists who rape in front of witnesses. Islam blames the woman for tempting the man, instead of blaming the man for being a weak-willed pig. Barbaric is an understatement. Prophet? No, at least not a prophet of God.
I don't respect their religion, but I respect people on an individual scale. If they didn't forcibly convert people with the treat of death like they're doing in Africa, I'd feel a lot more respectful. Individually, that's a different story, but as a group, well, these were the people dancing in the streets after 09/11, right? For anyone to celebrate the deaths of thousands of innocent people, that's not something that can be respected. You can't respect a group you can't trust, and we simply can't trust them as a group. Individually, sure, as a group, no.
Archangel, I'm afraid you're way off. The last paragraph of Revelation was meant to keep anyone from changing the book of Revelation. God knew when the bible was put together they'd leave Revelation out, and they wanted to, but that last paragraph scared them into including it. That paragraph is the only reason Revelation is in the bible.

I'm a born again christian and Mohammed did exist. He wanted the jews to recognize him as a prophet but the jews rejected him. Only GOD sent prophets unto the jewish people. This angered Mohammed so he created his own religion. The jewish people face one way to pray so out of spite Mohammed has the muslims face the opposite way to pray. Out of spite towards God and the jews. That's why Muslims hate Jews and zionists. And sad to say if you read the bible there will only be world peace when the anti christ takes over and that will only be for 31/2 years then all hell ( literally) breaks loose.
In the book of revelations God will destroy Iran and most of the muslims who come up against Israel. READ YOUR BIBLE AND IT WILL BECOME CLEAR TO YOU! Do you think that everything going on in the world is not a sign of the end times which Jesus spoke about?

I have Muslims as my personal friends. I have not met anyone who says that Mohammed never existed. Mohammed never claimed to be God and so he was a human being. Jesus died for all people and He died for Mohammed too. But anyone who denies that Jesus, who is God, came in the flesh is a false prophet. See I John 4: 1-3. That settles the question for a “true Christian”.

I definitely believe that Mohammed existed, there is historical evidence to support that he lived in the sixth century A.D. I do not believe that he was a prophet because he said things about Jesus that, as a Christian, I don't believe. For example, he said that Jesus did not die because God wouldn't allow that to happen to one of his prophets (he did believe Jesus to be a prophet of God). Since Jesus' death and resurrection is central to Christian beliefs, you can't believe both Christianity and that Mohammed was a true prophet.
However, as Christians we are supposed to treat others as we want to be treated and we are supposed to love our enemies. This isn't to say that all Christians do a good job of doing this, but we believe that this is what God asks us to do. I work with a Muslim. He knows I am a Christian and we have talked about our beliefs before. We don't agree with each other on some things, but we do respect each other.

As Christians We are to get along with all peoples, The prophet Mohamed would be a false prophet if you go by the Bible. He has some of the truth but not all. We do not kill people to convert; some religions calling themselves Christians killed millions in the Dark ages for not conforming to their standard of what they believed as truth. And if you know bible history you will know how this Prophet is. The Bible names him as one of Abrahams Wives that he sent away who would one day become a great nation and their seed would fight with each other. Not having enough faith that his own old wife would bear a Son his wife gave him a hand maid to bear an Heir to him, (Strictly against Bible principles) But was allowed in those days. Christians killed Christians in the dark ages and we are told in the Bible that just before the lord returns the same thing will happen, Just before we can destroy the earth God will come, No where in the history of time have we been able to do that up until now, with the Neutron Bomb the Atom Bomb we will have enough power to at least to destroy mankind but God will come just before that day so Watch for the signs of his soon coming, read the last book of the bible and you may understand what it tells you of the future events as they are rapidly approaching as time moves on.
Man started sin in the Garden of Eden and God Destroyed the earth with water this time it is to be destroyed with fire and By God not by man. No their will always be strife among man regardless of religon You have to know the bible in order to really give a good answer but ther is not enought space here to start this only a slight answer is all i can give.

actually, muslims love Jesus, because he is one of our prophets. and we believe in christianity (not necessarily the form its evolved to today) thats why christians and muslims have been living together peacefully for hundred of years. not all arab are muslims, 50% of lebanon consist of Christians. over 25% of palestinians are Christians, as well as many others in each country. Muslims are not closed minded towards Christians, Jews, or any other type of religion. It in fact states in the Quran that muslims are supposed to respect Jews and Christians because they are also people of the book. When in history have muslims ever forced conversions? unlike the Inquisition...and many other instances throughout History where christians would force conversions on other religions ?
So in general, Christians dont believe in the prophet Mohammed (pbuh), but muslims believe in Jesus.
bottom line is, everybody should just respect everyone else regardless of whether they believe in a god, gods, the trinity, no god, or anything else.

While he may be a man who followed God and loved God, I do not believe he is greater than Jesus or that he is God. I will take no stand either way on having proof that he was ever sent by God to establish a new religion, other than as a Christian, I believe that God sent His son to be His messenger and to die for our sins. No other prophet would be needed. If you study Islam, you will see that they respect Jesus as a great prophet, but to not accept him as the Son of the Living God. I don't think there would be a Christian viewpoint that he did not exist

Easy. The bible was once written earlier than Mohammed. He had a few well features however the Bible is older. Also Jesus is meant to be the last phrase on matters and he died to save lots of Christians and Islam sees Mohammed because the final phrase in order that would possibly play a facet in it too. See Wikipedia: Muhammad, Arabic: ????? mu?ammad; additionally Mohammed and different editions,[one million] (c. 571 – 632) based the faith of Islam and the Muslim group.[two] Muslims feel him to were God's last prophet, to whom the Qur'an was once discovered. The identify Muhammad manner "the praised one" in Arabic, being a passive participle from the foundation ?md ??? "to compliment". Within Islam, Muhammad is referred to as "The Prophet" and "The Messenger". The Qur'an (33:forty) additionally refers to him because the "Seal of the Prophets" (Arabic: ?atamu-n-nabiyy?n).

And will Muslims ever accept Jesus as the Messiah?
Nope never going to happen.
For one to accept the other is to disbelieve their own faiths.
They can and do respect Muslims like all other people on earth. When is the Last time a Christian car bombed any group for not being Christian?
