I have no problem at all believeng that. The book of 2 Timothy states :

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof : from such turn away.
For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth : men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
But they shall proceed no further : for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was. ( 2 Timothy 3: 1-9 )

God tells us about casting pearls before swine, when we see that they will just not listen.

I believe that God exists and I believe that there is truth in the Bible.

I also have friends who are atheists and I've also had friends who are Christian who claim they don't need God in their lives. Which I find to be very hypocritical.

I don't believe in a higher place if I convert more people. In fact, I believe that your religion (whatever you choose to believe or not believe) is a private matter. You shouldn't have to feel obligated to share your religion with anyone.

If you are atheist by choice then that's fine, but as such you need to understand that you are a minority in this world. America was founded on Christian principles and beliefs, so you need to understand that it isn't difficult for Christians to accept, it's difficult to understand why one would choose to live his life a certain way. Of course, it's hard to understand why one person can become homosexual, without any reason than that's the way they choose to live their lives. Do you see what I'm trying to say?

I, on the other hand, don't care. I don't judge people by their beliefs. In fact, I have friends of many different faiths: Muslim, Catholic, Christian, Jewish, Wiccan, Atheist, just to name a few.

What I find hard to understand is to believe in Him, but claim you don't need Him. If you believe, then you know that there are some times in life where you can't handle things on your own and in those times you need Him. In fact, if you believe God exists, then you know that it is by His will you wake up the next morning alive.

Only Hell has deep circles for the damned, Heaven doesn't. Mortals don't have ranks in Heaven, or that's what I believe.

Of course, you will meet those Christians who are spreading the good word, so you need to be ready to deal with all kinds of people with different beliefs who will not completely understand yours.

I deal with them all the time. I refuse to go to church because I have my views about the church and most people don't understand why and only get angry when I try to explain my reasons to them. You're just going to have deal with these people maturely and let go your stereotypical thinking.

It's not hard for me to understand. You sound like youv'e tried it all and decided on what you want. If you have not tried Christianity, how do you know you don't need it? The real joke would be to live a lifetime, and then find out that there was something better all along. If you are so happy, why not shrug it off and go about living your life, Christianity free.

IIf you are happy, I'm elated.

I would like to know who these people are? God is love, and love is GOD. Are you saying that these people do not need love? They are self sufficient, feel totally content and happy without anything else but themselves? They are lying to you. That void that everyone feels even when after they achieved all the money in the world, got a good looking partner, the best car money can buy, the most beutiful house in their neighborhood - it is still not enough, they are still unhappy trying to fill the void in their soul - the void can only be filled by knowing the Lord. Amen

For me, it is difficult to imagine how people can look at the wonders of the natural world and think it was all by some random chance. I feel my study of the Earth's weather systems (I am a meteorologist) has deepened my faith in God, because all of these complex weather processes have a distince purpose.

Also doing good deeds produces beta-endorphins, which is weird I mean why would the human body create a feeling of well-being after good deeds?

Because the bible says people can't serve 2 masters. So if you don't believe in or serve God then you are serving Satan. Wether you think you are or not the bible says you are and that's the whole reason Jesus came back to die for your sins. Do you think the people in Hell right now would agree with you? They didn't think they needed God either. Now they are screaming for him and it's to late. As a christian it's our job to reacj out to the lost. Your not rejecting us by slamming doors in our face or ignoring us, your rejecting God. We are doing what Jesus instructed us to do. The bible says after the final judgement every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. That means you! Now do you want to say that as your going into heaven or before you get thrown into the lake of fire?

Everyone needs God. If he did not exist neither would you. He gives you your breath and life. Why is it so difficult for atheists to understand that they do need God?

Because that's not true. Once you accept that there is a God and that he has a plan, you also accept that everyone needs Him. Do you have disappointments? Death of loved ones? Illness? Depression? Is your life perfect? Most importantly, are you assured of your place in eternity? It has been said that if I live as if there is a God, and it turns out there isn't, I have lost nothing. But if I live as if there isn't a god, and it turns out there is, I have lost everything.

Because everyone needs God. Just like everyone needs oxygen, whether you believe it exists or don't because you can't see it. You'll die without either - only without God it's the death of your eternal soul, which is much more troubling.

The question is, why are you so insulted that someone else who doesn't even know you cares about you enough to want to save you from that fate?

Everyone needs God. Some people just don't realize it, won't admit it, or are too full of their own self-importance to understand it.

And by the time they figure it out, it may be too late.
