Would it be a sin to 'play with yourself' to a picture of someone like Jesus (for women) or the Virgin Mary (for men)?

And, Yeah yeah, I know... This is a really twisted question to ask! I guess I just thought it was a pretty interestingly funny concept! But, in the event that someone may be offended, I apologize before hand, and please just turn and look the other way....

But, of course, why do I have the feeling this won't happen? heh... Maybe that is why I've asked the question. ;-)

An evolutionist asked me a question today and I need some help.

He asked me about a genus of plants called Lithops. He said there are about 100 species and that they are ALL native to south-central Africa and no where else.

He asked me if I thought God had created them all there and I said maybe. He said, if he did, why ONLY there because they are well suited to grow in other places (I have to admit he was right, he grows them in many places here in Colorado).

So I thought maybe they arrived there after the flood. But he asked how likely it would be that about 100 species of the same genus arrived there and only there.

He said that scientists believe they all evolved there from an original one species. He also pointed out that the family (Aizoaceae) that they are classified into, occur mostly in Africa.

So help me out here. I know he must be wrong for new species do not just appear. How do we explain this?

God bless.

Early Christians and Jews definitely did. (Job 38:1-7; Heb. 12:9,10; ACTS 17:28,29;) One example is Jeremiah 1:5: "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." Here more is involved than merely God's foreknowledge of Jeremiah, for God says that Jeremiah was known, sanctified, and ordained before he was born. Such terms don't make sense if the person that was ordained and sanctified did not yet exist. Another example: John 9:1-3: "And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him...who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither this man sinned, nor his parents...etc." This shows that the disciples understood that we had a premortal existence, and were asking whether poor behavior there might result in a curse at birth.Christ does not challenge the assumption of premortal existence.

i'm confused... so the general consensus for theists is man cannot understand god, therefore his judgment is beyond our criticism. here's where i get confused... why would anyone want to spend an eternity with a creation of his if that creation is so far below him intelligence. and not just one, but billions of creations. i mean for the rest of eternity, god's gonna have to listen to people ask the most annoying questions... why did you do this... why didn't you do it this way... don't you think this would be better... you know how annoying people can be, and that's just living with them for your normal life... imagine spending an eternity with those type of people...
