First the Holy Bible is inspired and allow me to offer some proof:The bible contains 66 books written by 44 authors over a 1500 period, Evidence of The Bible's inspiration also includes Prophecy See for example Babylon Isa.13:19-22, also Tyre Ezek.26:3-5, Sidon Ezek.28:21-23, also Archeology-Moabite Stone discovered in 1868 at Dibon, Jordan, confirming Moabite attack in 2 Kings 1 and 3, the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in 1948 parts of the Old Testament books except the book of Esther. They confirm the bible accuracy, also Evidence of the bibles inspiration also includes its cohesive unity, in more then 3000 places the bible declares itself The Word of God [2 pet.1:21] it does not contradict itself, find out more free bible lessons www.amazingfacts.org OR www.itiswritten.com talk to me also wgr88@yahoo.com God bless

You can ask the same of any religion. Why single out Christianity? What do you believe in? What do you believe as 100% truth. If you are easily offended I offer no apology.

Sadly, when a nice system of ideas becomes a religion, beople start treating it in irrational ways. For example, take the line about "it's either all true, down to the letter, or its all lies". Nothing ever works that simply, but somehow people expect it to if it's "religion". I think it's just like the movie "Dogma" says: we should abandon the concept of religious *belief* and instead approach spiritual teachings as "good ideas". Then they may be treated rationally, and their true messages will actually come through.

PS--citing Bible verses to attempt to "prove" the veracity of the Bible is circular reasoning, and in no way real proof. Another fine example of how reason is abandoned in the face of religion.

Because in order to be a true Christian you have to believe that it is the word of God. If you do not think the Bible is 100% accurate than you are not a Christian. It is circular really.

If it has an inaccuracy then it is not of an imperfect God thus although it might contain truth its of no consequence, that was the point semantics aside.

You own question is the answer. However to expound on this it has to do with their being "Born Again" once a person has repented their sins and accepted Jesus as their savior they are exposed to the entire truth. The reason for this is that Lucifer and his imps are working overtime to keep those who are non believers in the dark. it is a Christians legacy to spread "The Gospel"

“ALL Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.” (2 Tim. 3:16, 17)

Says 'all' meaning the whole book not just the Hebrew Scriptures (reffered by many as the old testament), not just the Greek scriptures (referred as New). There's no old or new, its still the same good book that benefited those from history and still benefits us today.

I can not answer that... I am of The True Christian Faith... and I know many who believe that... I did not come to God through The Bible... I had read it over the years... but did not get any thing from it... mostly looked up things when some christian quoted from it... I did not own one on the day of my Salvation... It was just God and me... I can not find, even today, any thing in The Bible that proves God.... I know personaly that God IS, with absolute certainty... But the Bible dose not prove God... God proves The Bible.... only those open to the leading of God, through The Holy Spirit, will find, in The Bible, what God has for them there.

You ask a valid questin and I am not offended by it. My answer is I accept the Gospel as 100% truth because it simply is. If people would stop trying to intellectualize the Gospel, which can only be discerned spiritually, then they'd get it.

It is the truth. The Bible is just one big love letter from God to us. Everything that was predicted in the Old Testament came true in the New Testament. ie: the book of Isaiah predicts Jesus' birth. It came true in all for of the gospels. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John

well, it's either all or nothing. plus the Bible claims to be all true and all inspired. So if it isn't, then none of it is.

2 Timothy 3:16 (NIV)
16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.

Have you ever checked out the Scriptorian in Florida? All the modern Bibles that we have today match up with the copies that they have written in 100ad.
