Then wouldn't all the people in the world be in peace and harmony eventually? Won't morals evolve to the point of no violence or harm to fellow man? That is what you are claiming would happen/ is happening. That is irrational and not logical, look around you and look at history.

We have a God given, biblical mandate to preach the gospel.
With that said, if it ever became illegal to speak the name of Christ (which by the way.....isn't out of the realm of possibility), would you join me in prison?

God's laws usurp man's law's every time.....so would you be willing to break the law at that point?

I sure would.

I had something really strange happen to me some years ago. I was wondering if this has happend to any one else.

7 years ago I was pregnet with my only child. One day I was trying to taking a nap in the middle of the day. I started to get really bad chest pains. I decsided to get out of bed. I streched my left arm to my side, as I did so my arm stayed in place and the only thing that moved was a blue almost transparent image of my left hand. I was scared so I closed my eyes and prayed. I opened my eyes and my arm was back to normal. (no, I was not dreaming)

I am not in any religion nor do I plan to be. I just want to know if this has ever happened to anyone else.

I understand that he could be of the Jewish race but to be of the Jewish religion would mean that he did not believe himself to be son of God. Please help me understand.

If you've battled with an illness doctors thought would be terminal, or something you'd struggle with all your life, how did you respond when your illness immediately began to improve AFTER you gave your life to God and prayed for healing?

Did you sit quietly and cry for hours, sit stunned in silence, or jump up and down for joy and tell all who would listen? It does not have to be a terminal illness, it can be any type of problem which affected your health. Please describe.

Also, this healing from the Lord, came after YEARS of trying positive thinking, alternative therapies, professional medical treatments, medications, and tons of new age methods of healing which DID NOT work, for those who are bound to respond claiming it was a placebo, psychology, type of healing. Only someone healed by God, would recognize supernatural power at work. I'd like to hear how your healing took place, and how you responded after seeing immediate change in lab tests, overall health, etc.

This is for people who believed we evolved. What circumstances would require morals to evolve when they were not needed before?

( I believe we got our morals from God when he created us )

Just searching for a logical explanation. If you claim it is for survival I think you are wrong. If survival was the goal wouldn't we all reproduce as soon as we are mature enough, instinctually ? To ensure the survival of the species? ( like other animals )

Or is there some other explanation?

For example, if I didn't have any affiliation or history with the LDS (Mormon) church, yet I went on and on about bashing them and spent literally years of my life researching them so I could attack them "better", etc... Would you consider me mentally ill or is there a better explanation?

What would you do if you were a theologian or a professional apologist, and you were invited to browse through the Vatican Archives with unlimited access, so you could research early Christian records - and you came across documents that showed detailed plans of how Christianity was completely made up, and that Jesus had just been an ordinary man who the early Church writers simply used in their story? Suppose you had the documents verified by every reliable source and that there was no question as to their authenticity and that the more you researched, the more evidence came up to support it! Suppose the Vatican was horrified that you made the discovery and you found out that it was a gigantic cover up and that the whole idea behind Christianity was political!

How would you respond to this?

This is for my Christian school ethics class. I have to pretend it's all true.

Assuming that you believe in freedom of religion, what if someone's religion is that they believe that kidnapping babies, molesting them, and then cannibalizing them glorifies..."the god of the forest" or whatever hogwash? Where do you draw the line? Intelligent answers please. No circular logic. This is a rhetorical question. I honestly think what I wrote is disgusting. I'm asking "where do you draw the line"?

History tells that prophet Muhammed used to work as a shepherd and as a trader before his marriage to Khadija, but it never told us how could he make living after being a 'prophet'?

From my understanding that he had eleven wives to support. He had ELEVEN homes to look after. History tells us he had lands and slaves. He even gave away slaves to his daughter, Fatma.

The Quran states that prophet Muhammed was entitled to take 1/5 of the loots from every raid. Was that the only way he made living after being a prophet is by war looting? or did he do something else?

Praise be to Allah.

When were the chronicles (1&2) writen?
http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/47877
So, it's written between 450-400 B.C.

When were 1 & 2 kings written?
http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/47873
So, it's written between 620-561 B.C.

Fine, there was at least 100 hundred years between the 2 Chronicles (the first written) and the 2 kings.

Then how would you explaine that in many site the chronicles refere to the book which was not yet being written?

2 Chronicles 27:
7 Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars, and his ways, lo, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.

2 chronicles 36:
8 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and his abominations which he did, and that which was found in him, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.
