Well, for starters, if the men of Holland gathered to gang-rape tourists....
As for Christy's comment about Israel taking the children and raising them, Israel wasn't a nation yet. It was just Abraham and Sarah. Isaac, the child God promised the nation would come through, hadn't even been born yet.

Incest was a widespread horrible thing in Sodom. I don't think that Holland is ready to legalize that!

Crowded, though...
The story I've heard is that the religion in Sodom and Gomorrah included sacrificing children to a brass god with a fire lit inside.
And the weak explanation of Yahweh's actions in, well, sacrificing them all to fire, is often that story.
Makes sense, huh? Much more sense, than, say... telling the Israelites to take all the kids and take care of them rather than just burning them all to death to save them from being burnt to death.

Sounds like you are unhappy there. Why not move to a fundamentalist Muslim country like Saudi Arabia? You'll get for instance: legal beating/killing of gays, drug users, abortionists, prostitutes, robbers, etc.

The problem is that global warming is coming again, this time human-induced.
Holland may be under water before too long; I guess that would be the reason to hurry up and visit there rather than anything else.

Coincidentally Holland has remarkably low rates of violent crime, theft, rape, stds, teen pregnancy, abortion, and so on - all much lower than the strikingly dysfunctional America.
We could probably take a lesson from them.

That's bad to be like Sodom and be below sea level behind earthen dikes. I agree with your concern and wonder what happened to that once Godly country. Come to think of it, what has happened to ANY of the once Godly countries?

The sin of Sodom was not any of that. It was because they treated the poor like crap and abused strangers. Lot was saved because he took the strangers under his protection.

I wouldnt worry untill there is a mcdonalds on every block and more than half of your population is obese and drives SUV's. Only then will you know for sure that your country is truly on a downward spiral to hell!!
