given the long history and changes on this planet it is almost inevitable that _some_ city at _some_ point in time sunk. Just a city and a bunch of dead people, nothing more.

I believe that it is possible that a coastal or island city could have been known as Atlantis. I also believe it to be possible that this city could have been devastated by a seismic disaster. Everything else is exactly as you call it... a myth.

Behind every myth there is a grain of truth.

I do, because it is referred to by several different ancient historians. I believe there have been many myths about Atlantis, but I think Atlantis itself was an actual place. Just my humble opinion.

i don't think that Atlantis is a fantasy or a Legend. lots learn and analyze has been performed in this and no person has Disproved it. additionally, many have chanced on a variety of Proofs that Atlantis Did surely Exist. attempt finding up the Anasazi ( interior sight American Tribe). They have been Proved to have Existed and have been called " the classic Ones" via each and all of the Tribes in the Americas. alluring!

there are multiple muths of a city that sank into the sea, lemuria being one of them--something equitable happened, but all we may ever know about it is myths
