i was wondering how and to where did the religion hinduism spread.

i have read something about the Indo-Aryans or the Indus Valley Civilizations saying that they may have something to do with spreading the relgion.
is this true, if so what did they do?

fundamentalist muslims, over zealous christians and overbearing atheists. Other then those groups of people i generally tolerate everyone well. Sometimes when one of those people come up to me i feel like i always have to defend my beliefs! I'll share and tell them but they always knock it down saying
"Your going to hell" or " your a delusional lunatic"

Do some of you encounter this problem too? How can we tolerate and accept people when they overbear us with their own beliefs and will not listen or at least leave us be.

(this is to everyone regardless of religion)
*it's not their religion i have a problem with it's some types of people in their religion who make it harder to accept*

I need to find documentations or stories from an actual newspaper that talk about healings, miracles, or anything related to Our Lady of Fatima. Please tell me if you find anything, because I have to do this project for school and I cannot find anything.

why did god even create this tree of knowledge if he didnt want humans going near it. why was there a tree of knowledge when it wasnt even being used by anything. so my first question is WHY DID GOD CREATE THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE?
now answer my second question. WHY DO PEOPLE ASSOCIATE SATAN WITH THE SERPENT. nowhere does it say that satan is the serpent and if u say otherwise u must not be reading the same bible because im telling u what it says not what i think

...did you decide because everything you'd been told about God seemed impossible?

If so, do you think it's possible that the explanations seemed unfeasable because (IF God actually does exist) God is really...indescribable? and thus, all the language that people might use would be inherently limited and universally flawed at least in some way regarding the accuracy of its conveyance?

I mean, I can understand that it seems totally illogical to believe in something that is impossible to concieve of in the first place...so this by no means is an attack on the descision to be an atheist in the first place (and I know that some don't think it's a choice!)...
I'm just curious.

Do you think it's possible that anything exists which is beyond the capacity of human perception to witness and/or to understand?

Looking forward to some thoughtful responses!(to all the questions above!)

Seriously, you may think I am crazy.
But my mom isn't crazy and she wouldn't like to me.
She said that she was in the ocean and she was about to die or something and she couldn't get air or something and before she allmost died she saw God and he gave her a second chance to live her life.
She said this is because she has stong faith.
My mom had a long story about this but I shortened it out.
I believe her and I believe in God.
Do you believe my mom saw God?
I mean come on she was about to die and God gave her a second chance!
DONT THINK I'M CRAZY!

Many people say that all morals would be lost without religion. But look what religion can be used for: war, bigotry, hatred, discrimination, etc.
I think we would all be better off without religion. We, as intelligion human beings, do not need a system of beliefs telling us what to do. We, as self-thinkers should, do what we think is right; all humans have morality already built into them. For example, a person who kills another would feel guilty.

Now, I hope you people take me seriously. But I'm just a kid, so hey, when you're a short little Asian atheist kid, no one takes you seriously. But, to the point.

I'm in JHS. Now, we're learning about blood, and we had to be in a group of 4(ours was short one person, we had 3 people) to create a presentation, which we did yesterday. We presented our neat poster. Then we were required to answer questions. Our topic was white blood cells. Now, a classmate asked us a question after the presentation. He asked, "Why are white blood cells white?" And our group didn't have the answer to that. Then one of my group members said, "Because God made it that way!" The teacher said, "Amen to that!"

And all this while, I was thinking, "Hm... I really want to say something, but I shouldn't say anything." Silence is golden, they say. I wanted to be respectful. So, I'm thinking, what do you think about the idea of school+religion?

My two cents? I don't think school and religion should mix.

I mean, religious people you have to admit it aint all good. The Bible was edited to suit the controlling powers at whatever time it was done, The Qu'ran says its ok to die or kill for Allah (supposedly), religion is one of the main causes of suffering in the world, Protestants and Catholics, Sunnis and Shiites are at each other's throats constantly, when their respective religions should promote peace and harmony, people are constantly bending the rules and twisting the words of the various religious books to suit their own beliefs, and there have been no religious messiahs, miracles or prophets for at least a few millenia, at which time people would have believed anything; surely all this and more proves that it's kinda...corrupt and shambolic? Religious people are constantly preaching to atheists and non-believers to adopt religion and welcome God into their lives, wanting them to be open-minded - will you be open-minded as well?

Please describe to me how the scientific method is applied to Intelligent Design.

In short...

How is Intelligent Design testable?

I'd also ask that you refrain from centering your response around an attempt to debunk or insult the theory of evolution. I'm not asking about evolution so don't bother telling me what you think about it.

Thank you.

Hundreds. And there is a reason for that ... because there is nothing conclusive about the Bible at all. Why don't people just admit it doesn't make sense?
