I have a friend who is ALWAYS relating everything to God. She can't make any decisions without praying first. My question is, should we all be trying to live like this?

If I am to take your statement about your friend literally, then yes, she is depending to much on God. It is not that we can not depend on God. He is always there for us when and if we need him but I think he also expects us to use his word to teach us to deal with a lot of stuff on our own. Our lives are important to him but we need to grow in our faith, not be bound by it.

Yes you can depend on God too much. No, we should not live like that.
A child who has to ask their parents about every little thing will never learn or grow. A servant who has to be told every little thing is not very helpful. Moderation is the key. If God wanted us to completely rely on him all the time, why did we even leave his side to come to this life? We came here to learn, grow and be tested. If we're constantly asking Him about things (especially things that hold no spiritual importance) how can we learn or grow?

Maybe that friend hasn't learned to depend on God enough, but we have all been less mature. I've learned that I don't have to pray about everything. I trust God to lead me more naturally, as I go through the day.

I too have friends like that. It is pretty sad. They live their lives in a state of dependency and immaturity. It is as if what you need has to be handed to you by some kind of Welfare Department in the sky. I think life is supposed to be a do-it-yourself job.

The Greeks prayed to their gods but they didn't kneel and grovel. They stood upright and looked up and addressed their gods like brothers, face to face. Maybe I could have been a Greek. I do not choose to beg or grovel. And any God who is so insecure that he needs us to praise and extol him is not worth worshipping.

I dont think so, Dont depend on life to be all hunky dory ... but everything does happin for a reason and God does say "No" and "yes" So if you are a believer and you trust in God ... then yea you can say you cant depend on God to much.

This is my belief, If theres any other beliefs id like to hear em as well

What she's doing is commendable. That is exactly what God would have us do.

James says it this way: "Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a town, stay there a year, conduct business, and make money." You do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead you should say, "If the Lord wants us to, we will live-and do this or that." (James 4:13-15)

If you believe in God, you should understand that he gave you a brain so that you don't have to rely on what some religionist tells you what you should believe & how you should act. Does she have a conscience? I do no harm & try to help those I can. Is anything wrong with that?

Yes, we should all live like this.

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.

Allowing God to be the leader of your life is the best thing anyone can do. He will never fail you!

Absolutely. My father depended on Jesus Christ rather than calling 911 when my mother had a stroke. As a result she suffered irreversible neural damage.
