I don't think it will ever happen, it is the biggest load of crap and misunderstood mythology quoted in the entire Bible...

I think at first many will panic and chaos will be everywhere for a while. Once people calm down and begin to mourn the loss of their family members who were lost in some form or another, they will begin to see and hear what the Lord said. When they begin to look to the church to perform funeral services and don't get an answer on the phone and the news shows just how wide effect it was....they will begin to understand. Many will know right away what has happened, those people will likely join the side of the Lord within hours to days after.
Many will join after each miracle performed as they begin to relize what is really happening. The soul harvest is so large it could not be counted. Many will come to join the Lord in that time, but the free ride is no longer available and they will know it. They will study the bible for the time they are in and relize what they are called to do, and many will do it. Some will be decieved and fall away, we are told it would happen.
Read revelations and Daniel, it's all there.

The origins of the doctrine of the rapture are hotly debated. The Orthodox, mainline Protestant, and Roman Catholic churches, which represent the majority of Christians worldwide, have no tradition of such a teaching and reject the doctrine, in part because they cannot find any reference to it among any of the early Church fathers [1] and in part because they do not interpret the scriptures the way that Rapture-believers do.
The Truth of Catholic doctrine is just as true now as it was 2,000 years ago, no matter how badly it may be presented in our confusing times. Hang on to the Faith and never let hierarchs or bad presentations of the Faith keep you from Truth and the Sacraments.

According to what the bible says, people will have to recieve a mark to buy or sell anything. And If you do recieve the mark you will definitly go to hell. Earth will be a miserable, unbareable place to be. The bible goes into detail about how horrible the end days will be. Alot of people will die. But some people think we will have to go through all this before the rapture happens. I do not know for sure, I will just be prepared.

Just as it's written in the book of Revelation. Non-believers will be left behind. The anti-christ will take over. Plagues will be put upon those left. They will have to choose between God and the anti-Christ before the second coming. I'm glad I won't be here. I hope no one from here will be....but from the answers given I have a feeling there will be some from here that have to live through it unfortunately.

Dear Queen B,
After the rapture occurs, all believers will be raptured away to be with the Lord. The tribulation will be a time of great judgment as the Anti-Christ will rule during that period of time and will demand worship or persecute those who do not worship him.
During that time i believe many Jews will come to know Christ (Revelation talks about the 144,000 which God has set aside for a special purpose). i think God shows himself to be a kind and gracious God and so i think there will be those who come to Christ during that time as well because imagine all the people that ever shared Christ with someone else that got raptured away (ie: my family knows i'm very serious about my faith) imagine if i got raptured away- they might not think that some of the things i shared with them about Christ was so "silly". And God's word tells us that our work for the Lord is never in vain... So i think people will still have opportunities to come to Christ- but under severe persecution because the Tribulation is really a time of judgment...
Hope that helps. Kindly,
Nickster

I have never seen anything in the Bible that refers to a "rapture". When the anti-Christ comes to rule the world, you will have to have the mark of the beast in order to do business. The faithful will refuse to obtain the mark. Just like God provided manna from heaven to feed the Jews when they were wandering the desert for 40 years, He will provide for his children then too. It will be a very hard time to profess to be a Christian (like it is today by some of the comments I have seen). Great trials and tribulations will be suffered by all. It will be a time that will require extreme faith. The things predicted in Revelation are coming to light every day. Let us pray for our leaders and for our faith to become stronger every day.

Sorry my friend, that is all a myth. Christ never existed, so it's unlikely he's "coming back" to take you all up to that equally fictitious eternal butt-kissing camp, known as heaven.
The rapture is not even scriptural, it was an idea cobbled together from disconnected bible passages in the 19th century. ( taking verses out of context is only allowed for Xians, in case you didn't know) It is only believed by some extreme fundamentalists.
...and none of us atheists.

this theory of the rapture like all the others will not happen. most of revelation has happened(the destruction of the temple 70ad). revelations is not to be read in the sense of rapture,it is a symbolic writing. try this link and find scot hahns book "the lambs supper"

If people think life on earth is 'hell' now, in those days it will be unimaginably worse. And everyone will be forced to either choose Christ or the antichrist. Of course most will not believe it's the antichrist, but a savior of the world.

Most of the answers here are quite sickening!
I would never have or want anything to do with a supposed "god" that would do these things! Who is this god you speak of? some all time playground bully?
How insane is all of this?
I feel so sorry for all of you who live this life of total fear!
A god that would have you live that way is No god at all.
