Anyone can legally change their name "by use" by simply using a new name consistently. Changing one's name "by use" does not require legal proceedings. For example, a person may obtain a driver's license with a different name on it and use that to get a social security card, passport, and so on. The only document you cannot get without a court order is a birth certificate. Name change "by use" is what is generally done by a woman who takes a new or additional last name after getting married, but the right to do so is not restricted to newly married women.

Go to 'edit my info'. Follow the instructions
for choosing a name, type in a number
instead of your name. Delete everything you put in your 'about me'. Save the new info. (spiritually speaking, of course)
