Isn't it interesting that statistics show that, with the exception of the USA, the world's healthiest and wealthiest countries have a large proportion non believers?

From this answer, evidently so.

"
The doctrine of the inspiration of the Bible means that the Bible in the original documents is God-breathed, that they are a divine product, and because they are divine, they are inerrant in the original documents. The copies of those documents are not inspired. We have copies of inspired documents."

Yea right, God said we should put our children to death for cursing us. Yea right!

Hello,

At the university I attend, I see a lot of Muslim girls wearing long skirts that are elegant and fashionable. I've asked them where they got them and they said that the skirts were purchased back in their country.

I was wondering if there is a place in the States to buy similar skirts or online?

Thanks!

Ok.

We all know that many children are inclined to believe in Santa

Some children never believe in Santa. They look at the presents and notice that Santa's handwriting looks just like grandma's.

Santa believers look at the name on the card, see it is exactly what they wanted and say it must be from Santa.

Some adults look at the Bible and notice that God's words look just like human words.

Others see where it says it is the word of God, see it says exactly what they want it to and think it must be the word of God.

Is there a correlation?

christians talk of conversation with god, evidence of his existance etc.
where?
is it just intuition, like, you have a thought, say, 'i feel like a cheese sandwich', and you think it is god telling you to have one?
i'm not poking fun this time,
i just really don't understand, where you get it from, other than the bible

Or are they secretivly looking for the answers they really don't have. People are usually defensive when they are unsure. Notice how the Christians who are sure seem very kind, loving, and honest.

...(or lack of) what methods did you use to evaluate that belief system to determine that is was something you truly believed and could follow, well, religiously? What kinds of questions did you ask yourself? What did you ask the leaders of this religion? What process did you go through to decide "Yes, this is right"?
