When I was about nine my parents left the catholic church, and took my with them. Now I think I want to return but I don't remember much- like what to do when or the prayers

all these new laws and the patriot act make me think america is turning into a christian only nation which scares a lot of people. the idea of a christian only america isnt what america was to be but i seem to see a lot of christians wanting this and christian only rights and laws no more of freedom of religion in america if this happens. when a pagan or a atheist gets fired from a job thats when i think america is no longer free. when non christian religions dont have there own temples or worships i think of christian theoracy real fast. people are leaving america in droves these days because of the christians.

That human beings would rape, pillage and murder if they are not restricted by a belief in a God? Can we not be decent human beings just for our own Karma? I asked a question about what the world would be like if there was no religion and people came back saying that all sorts of terrible deeds would be committed. I respect people and try to leave the world a slightly better place than I found it, where possible. I do this out of compassion for my fellow humans, I believe we are One race - The human race. All of us flowers that need nurturing in order to bloom, not out of fear of any after life, or guidence from any organised religion.

Many use this verse from the Qur'an to propose the idea of almost everyone is going to Heaven. the non-muslims should understand the verse properly with the commentry. Here it refers to Jews before Jesus came and Christians before Muhammad came. they must understand the concept of progressive religion. there were about 140,000 prophets sent by god to mankind. but all of them to special and specific nations. only the last prohphet,- Prohphet Muhammad was sent for the whole mankind. and that's the reason God chose to Guard the Qur'an HIMSELF. We Muslims respect The Jews and Christians as they were followers of one God before their own people corrupted their own religion. To be a Muslim you have believe that the Law was sent to Moses and the Gospel to Jesus.

This forum is NOT to start any debates, NOT to offend anyone, and NOT to push any particular religion on anyone. I am just curious about a few religions. I would like to know what different religions believe so I can understand why we have so many religions out here.

The main ones that I am interested in are Catholic, Baptist, Muslim, Jewish, and Jehovah Witness.

The reason I decided to ask this question is because I am baptist, but I recently went to a catholic wedding, and that was the first time I was in a catholic church. The service was very different from what I was used to, and I didn't understand what was going on.

The experience just made me wonder what the differences are in our religions.

I do.I think you have to break a childs spirit before you can teach them the way they should go
Break them down then build them up.
If not they end up with tatoos and percings.

I went shopping in a black area of town and found several stores that were selling paintings and prints of a black Jesus. there was even a last supper painting where all the deciples were black also. Dosome people really worship a black jesus? Don't they know he was a jew? When I say black I mean black african not a dark skinned middle easterner.

for the past 1700 years christians have persacuted witchs atheist blacks gays and many other non christian people? even today christians still persacute people who are not christian. the boy scouts of america runned by a christian sect banned pagans and atheist from joining there group. some christian employers fire pagans for wearing a pentagram but christians dont get fired for wearing a cross. christians used to and still some christians are racist toward black people.

i dont want to hear not a true christian. "if it walks like a duck qaucks like a duck its a duck" if a person reads the bible believes in the bible and does what the bible says then you are still a christian period.

live as a pagan in the bible belt then scream persacution because you dont know real persacution. most of the american government is also christian mind you.

Our version of known truths of who the real Egiptians were and who our real creators are and who really made the contributions to the world. Show how all the so-called ¨racially¨different people came from and black scientific achievements done by blacks and expose to the world that we have had at least five ¨black¨ american presidents in america´s history who many do not know of. A movie to make the world know that we know our true history and who the true people of the bible were and their rightful names. If we entered into the frame of mind that we should have been in for decades, we will not leave a legacy for future generations of continuing oppression and DISPARE for them because we again, DID NOTHING to show the rest of the world that we knew, but was ¨SCARED¨ to let them know (those in power), that we know, but are afraid to let them (the world), see that we are proud and have a direct devine link to the creator(s). I went to my girlfriends church on sunday and the service was basically saying for god to be your friend you must worship him and do as he commands you without question
they also made a bunch of kids stand up and say that god was their best friend

I have a friend. Her name is Vickie. Vickies daughter,Denna Lynn Dunkle, is at this moment begining treatment for cancer.
The doctors are hoping to shrink her tumor, so that surgery can be done. Please will you help by sending them both love and light in anyway that you feel comfortable? and does actually exist, why aren't christians dying to go there.

and why do SOME of them believe they still qualify for heaven when they are nasty to people or commit as many crimes as anyone else they might accuse of being evil.
is it that a person can do what ever they like, so long as they accept god into their hearts, before they die.
do christians decide that if another christian does something wrong then they haveto be inspired by satan.

why do some christians declair what gods definate rules and desires are, claiming to know what god thinks or says when their interpretations all differ. yet they all claim it comes from the same god.
i never see an 'i don't know' from a christian in regards to god.
when stumped it's just'god has his reasons''it's not for us to quesion god'. cherades?
so do christians believe that god talks to them.
if so and this is why they know what he thinks, then what is his reason for innocents suffering.
