I am a 16 year old raised in a non religious household, but I've always felt a connection to God and the beliefs of Christianity, most specifically the Catholic Church. In the past few years I've read into the practices and rites of the Church, such as the Sacraments, and I was given a Bible as a gift from a family friend. She taught me the basics of prayer, so I have begun to pray regularly, and now I am beginning to feel a strong devotion to God. I live overseas, and the nearest church is one hour away from where I live so it's difficult for me to attend Mass every Sunday, but I always attend Mass whenever I'm back home, and I regularly attend Bible study. However, I have never been baptized, and I don't stay in my home country long enough to go through the entire process of baptism. But I deeply love God, and I feel that I am fully ready to embrace the religion. Could I call myself a Catholic then, based on my religious devotions and beliefs? Or is it too superficial?
