This topic continues to resurface, but it's actually pointless. I don't worship a black jesus, white jesus, or middle-easterner jesus. I worship Jesus. I refuse to categorize him into a certain race, mainly because doing so causes separation (which is what you are witnessing now).
If Jesus' appearance was so important you'd see more discriptive terms referencing it in the Bible. What Jesus said is what we should be focused on.
*Personally, I believe categorizing him to a certain race is merely a ploy to make money off of those 'lesser-minded' individuals within different races.

You realize Jesus was middle eastern which includes such races as assyrian, arab, and (back then) African? Yes there are many other middle eastern races and there's no way i'm listing them all but their is a small possibility Jesus was black but many people don't want to accept that fact because most of us were raised thinking he was white when in fact he was not European in the least and I guess that was an upset....

It relies upon, eighty's black jesus, is not any experience for ninety's black jesus. The eighty's black Jesus vs the 50's white Jesus could lose. even with the undeniable fact that, the ninety's black Jesus will beat particularly lots any jesus different than in keeping with risk the ninety's mexican jesus.

i think people have been mis-informed for so many years regarding the description of Jesus (as)
He looked middle eastern - he was not white, black , lation. italian, coloured etc.................
He was not a tall thin man like most of the pictures portray infact he was an extremly strong man & very tall, so he would have been masculine build & not thin.
His hair cannot be blonde, long & straight or he cud not have had hair like black african people because in those years many middle eastern people had curly brown or black hair.
I think people should have not drawn or painted pictures of Jesus because now many people are confused & they have no idea what to believe.
I think pictures of Jesus should be banned, people should rather wait for his 2nd coming to see how he looks but for now no one should have any pictures of Jesus (as).

If his skin is of a brown tone, why do you assume he was black and why are you not questioning the establishments that carry a "white Jesus". Do some reading in your bible, it says the had hair of lambs wool and skin the color of cooper. So he was not white, and was of a darker complexion. And within our society we are very eager to classify people by their complexion on a daily basis, however when it comes to Jesus their is an issue? I wonder why. God bless****

in many paintings jesus is portrayed as a white man
i wouldn't be surprised if they had paintings of a black jesus. but just because a painting portrays jesus as a black person, jesus is less a person than an entity...

Never met the man, maybe he had almond shaped eyes
kinky hair, acne and was an albino caucasion -- personally
think his complexion and features were those of a mid-Easterner. We all have our vision of what Jesus looked like.
The point is ?

That's nothing new. Does it really matter? The essence of Christianity is the teachings of Jesus and his ultimate sacrifice for humanity. His skin tone should be irrelevant.

There is nothing wrong with that. I have also seen white, Latino, and Asian looking Jesus pictures. God created all beings and Loves all people. Why should it bother you? Peace be with you

In Islam we do not make pictures of ANY of the Prophets, including Jesus Son of Mary, because this leads to idolatry (cough cough Catholics lol...)
I think you have to remember Jesus lived in area of the Middleeast, so he was probably light/middle tan (like myself)
have a good day
