My best pal who is Chinese has been dating this gorgeous brunette Jewish girl for almost a year... They have A LOT in common, especially in family values, careers and politics. Both value education, and are highly successful and ambitious. I get the feeling that East Asian values are very similar to the Jewish, both these peoples rise very quickly in US society.

My friend is crazy about her and is thinking of proposing her this or next month. But I have heard that Jewish girls date non-Jewish but marry Jewish. Is this true? Could the Jewish girl just be leading my friend on? Their relationship is both interfaith and interracial, is that potentially too much to overcome?

The original meaning of the word "heresy" meant "choice". Here is your choice:

Do you believe that
(A) Every word in the Bible is the direct word of God, or,

(B) Do you believe this statement from the Pope/Vatican issued regarding religious "fundamentalism" contained in a document issued in 1993 entitled, "The Interpretation of the Bible in the Church" Here is the exact wording.

"The fundamentalist approach is dangerous, for it is attractive to people who look to the Bible for ready answers to the problems of life ... instead of telling them that the Bible does not necessarily contain an immediate answer to each and every problem.....Fundamentalism actually invites people to a kind of intellectual suicide. It injects into life a false certitude, for it unwittingly confuses the divine substance of the biblical message with what are in fact its human limitations".

I mean, yes I know, Satan is a horrible, disgusting liar, who deserves Hell as good as anyone. BUT..... wasn't this all planned out by God? Wouldn't he be just one of God's scenarios planned out for eternity? So, if God hadn't done this, wouldn't Satan still be Lucifer the angel?

Given the following scenario, and using logic, please see if you can come up with a better solution to God's problem.

Suppose God exists...okay, just suppose. Okay... He creates intelligent life, free to "think and make choices without barriers of thought". He creates millions of intelligent angelic beings and humans. One of these angelic beings begins to question God's authority and starts casting doubts about God's sovereignty. This rebel angel (Satan), creates a following of millions of angelic beings who agree that intelligent life would be better off to live without following God's rules of conduct.

So as you can see, there is much confusion in the universe about God's authority to rule.

Satan also helps humans question and disobey God as well.

The universe is now divided in two sides. God's side and Satan's side.

You are God...What do you do?

Let me just add that if you destroy Satan and his followers, you would have never known if Satan was correct or not.

First of all I do not agree with boozing, but I have always asked if there is any verse in the Quran that says that the person who drinks should be lashed.

Does anyone know what verse in the Quran say that?

I don't know how many, but he killed people.

These laws were for the Jews - do not murder another Jew is what it meant, anybody else was fair game.

How then are we all under the Law of Moses?

Honestly, i am curious what you associate that word with. It is set to focus on current day "Christians" and their culture. This is a general question and does not discriminate against anyone.

Personally, I associate it with negative connotation...but that is simply because of what many have done compared to the few. Many have harmed the image of Christianity through such things as: Blind Faith ( accepting without question), acceptance because its popular, Ignorance internally (they don't comprehend the teachings, or they apply them incorrectly to current times), Outward ignorance (not accepting other cultures, simply because "only we can be right"), and many other things that deal with ignorance and discrimination. Such as discriminating against certain people due to race, orientation, etc.

I realize that many are not this way. However these are the views that are constant in mainstream society today, thus that is how i perceive the term. But, this is simply one viewpoint to have.

While browsing Yahoo answers, I noticed that many people gave the answer "42" to the answer "What is the meaning of life?" What does this mean? Is it a reference to a movie or something?

I've been praying hard and long for a miracle to come so I can dance in Japan with my dance team. And that my family would stay in good health and happiness, also that I would get better grades in school and get better in my drawing and writing hobbies. (after I say the 'Our father' and the 'Hail Mary' I say this)

God, please help me find a way to go to Japan with my dance team and keep my family in good health and happiness then please help me get better grades and improve in my hobbies please amen.

I am unable to go into my church since the priest is only there on Saturdays and i've been unable to contact him. So I ask for someone to please print this out and take it to church with them and place it in front of the alter for the priest to pray for. (I'm hoping to get sponsored for the trip)
