absolutely not. praise is a mighty weapon.
Ps 150:4
not only do you see it all through out the Bible (Miriam, David etc) but the word rejoice - actually translates, "to spin around violently".
praise is natural for the Christian. Ps 33:1 - "rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous; for praise is comely for the upright"
Ps 102:18 - "This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the Lord."
There is always music and dancing in Father's house because in His presence is fullness of joy, and at His right hand are pleasures forevermore.

It really depends on what faith you're talking about...some encourage it (like the Baptist church), some tolerate it in various forms and some shun it (Catholics and Seventh Day Adventists).
While dancing is not specifically condemned anywhere in the Bible, there are a number of scriptural principles that would indicate that many types of popular dancing are sinful either because of the dance itself (dancing too closely or suggestively) or because of the setting in which it is done (bars, etc).
Most of the acceptable forms of dancing in the bible are men and women dancing as separate groups...something the Orthodox Jews still do today.
There is another form of dancing that is condoned by the Catholic church amongst others called Liturgical dancing. The function of the Liturgical dance group is to make a spiritual contribution to worship through simple motions to appropriate music. The physical emphasis in each dance is on arm movements, posture and facial expressions. The ultimate goal is the projection of spirit.
