In the first verse of the first book it starts like a work of fiction and it reinforces that time and time again throughout the whole story.

I used to get down and discouraged when people did not listen when I attempted to present the Gospel. Now, I no longer feel like that. "Shake the dust," as a brilliant Teacher once said (Mark 6:11; Luke 9:4-5). God has helped me to realize that I should continue anyway.

If someone could not care less about his/her eternal damnation, go on to someone who does. Do not cast the pearls to the swine (Matthew 6:7). If they poke fun or mock you, laugh it off (as I now do). You have done your part, and that IS ALL that matters.

When you feel discouraged, it is just how Jesus felt. He knew everything, yet people eventually murdered Him. He tried to help, but they crucified Him. This is just how Paul felt when Felix said Paul "almost" convinced him to become Christian(Acts 26:28).

You are not alone in your struggles. God feels your pain. When you feel bad, remember in prayer those who are suffering. Remember your brothers and sisters are going through the same pain.

I've read & posted many questions here over the past few weeks regarding religion and it really sickens me when I see so many "christians" talking down to non-believers or trying to make them think they are going to hell or just generally trying to make them feel rotten.
Is that really a christ-like thing to do?
I mean, MAKE ME UNDERSTAND why you do it. Because as of right now, I don't get it! The bible says not to judge people, but yet so many do! The bible says that it is God's decision whether or not you get into heaven, so why would you run around telling people they are going to hell. Are you a psychic? Can you tell the future? I don't think so.
Basically, everytime I see one of you christains doing that it just makes me more convinced that I never want to associate with that kind of lifestyle.
Does it ever occur to you guys that when you say all those mean things to us that it doesnt really make us want to jump up and go to church? So what really are you accomplishing?

I don't have a problem with the Catholic religion - I feel people need faith - I just have a very difficult time understanding most things about the Catholic religion.

I live in the Midwest - Illinois. There is, without exageration, a new church being built 24/7. And they're huge! These gigantic churches, with indoor pools, gyms, etc. Why? And does the money that people donate to the church go to this? I've seen priest who live in giant homes and drive expensive cars. The money collected in church - I never see it put to GOOD use. I never see where local churches feed the poor, shelter the homeless, etc. But, I do see them sponsoring vacations for youth, building outrageous buildings, hookin up the priest. This seems wrong for a religion. Shouldn't they be helping the needy instead of gaining material items for themselves?

This is not an insult - an honest question.

Lets just all convert to Islam. They are taking over europe and asia, africa and will eventually take over the good ol' USA and Britain soon. Let's convert now to get in on the ground floor. Are you christians worried that they will relegate your beliefs to a footnote of the past and ban it once they take over?I would worry because as an atheist they will definitely kill me.I am starting now, getting in on the ground floor Praise ALLAH!

in the account of Noah's fllood in Genesis. In terms of moral and spiritual corruptness man had to be saved from himself.

Global warming is an issue that is the minds of many government and privately funded organizations at this time. If God will not save man then who will save man and the animals from certain catasrophe that is shouted by the global warming alarmists at this time?

I have already asked this but only two responses and I want to hear from church goers because this is the reason I have never joined a church. Why do you spend the money you collect on fancy buildings, lavish displays, state of the art media systems instead of helping less fortunate people in an effective manner?

Please investigate Margret MacDonald, John Nelson Darby and dispensationalism in general. How can you hold on to such a ridiculous end times view? It doesn't not come from a literal reading of the Bible.

Here one place to begin.

http://www.monergism.com/directory/link_category/Dispensationalism/Rapture/

How is it that no mention was ever made of this theory until 1830?

BTW I am a Christian and a former dispensationalist and it was allowing myself to read what the Bible says not what I need it to say that changed my heart on this matter. Also, my hope is in the Ressurection not in the rapture.

From what I understand, the RCC disapproves of having "relations" without the intent of having a baby. Does this mean they frown upon newly weds having a honeymoon?
