I'm a heathen and I've never been sucked into the land of Oz by a tornado.

It's a genuine concern of mine. I dont have any natural disasters where i live, so i was just wondering if it makes you religious, or does it attract the wrath of god...you pick

I know you are just being mean-spirited, but there are the same amount of natural disasters in the bible belt as there are everywhere else. Earthquakes, and wildfires in California, land of liberals, for instance.

Grow up.

Some people say that it is the judgment or wrath of God, but I disagree. It's simply the placement of the land. The Bible Belt is a strange place weather wise. The fronts that come through her produce tremendous storms that do spawn torandos. We are also on the coastline and that is the warm water of the Gulf of Mexico is the birthplace of hurricanes really. The Mississippi river floods on a regular basis because that's just how it is. If the snow in the north melts too quickly, it will flood down here. About the only thing that we do not get is an earthquake, and even that happens in a small scale because there's a faultline that runs near Memphis, TN. It's simply an odd place.

I asked someone that same question once when they told me that Hurricane Katrina was god's wrath, and that all natural disasters are because people are sinners...I never really got an answer other than what you're getting here.....It seems that natural disasters are because of sinners, and when they happen in the bible belt, well then you blame the atmosphere.

Now that you mention it, yes, the Bible belt gets bashed regularly. The pinko liberal heathens seem to escape such disasters, very strange. Is it because God is an Atheist ?

Because all of the air in peoples heads in the region strengthens all atmospheric tornado and hurricane action. That's why they are not common in California or the west coast

God has not poured out His total judgment yet. He is still allowing time for more to repent. In the future, the entire world will be judged and all those who are left on Earth will suffer greatly.

Its not becaue of religious reasons its because of geographical location. The natural disasters are all weather related.
