I have it understood that it can't because the soul is just your mind and it shuts off at death.

A global flood was proven impossible long ago.

A flood of that magnitude would have left evidence over every piece of land, not just scattered remnants, there is no evidence anywhere of a global flood.

There is only so much water in our atmosphere. Now I, a student of the Bible, realize that the text says something(probably geysers) under the sea broke open, but even with all the water in the earths crust we would still not have enough water by a longshot.

Another option is a giant comet, which carry large amounts of water, but again, not even close to enough H20, and our planet would be immensely damaged.

Lets say God just made the water appear, and then made it all vanish from our atmosphere when Noah landed. With the amount of water it would take to flood the earth above the Himalayas, approximately 4 times the water presently on Earth, a person would literally drown instantly, only by breathing in the air! And this goes for almost all land mammals.

Friedrich Nietzsche was one of the greatest and most profound philosophers of the modern era. I found it interesting that he called Christians, "Nihilists". A Nihilist is someone who believes in nothing and thrives on destruction. I thought this was kind of funny at first until I thought about it. Christians really do believe in nothing because there isn't actually a God. And they have thrived off of destruction throughout their entire history. I mean you have the fall of the Roman empire, the crucades, the inquisition, the holocaust, George W. Bush, etc. I personally think Nietzsche pegged 'em right, but I was wondering what your thoughts are?

I know we should, but I just do not know the scripture to back it up with. I discussed this with a friend. He said that when Jesus died on the cross that everything changed about the Jewish people being in favor with God. That we all became the same! He says that we should not favor the Israel nation because they do not even believe that Jesus is the son of God. I know what he is saying is not right, I know that the Jewish faith does not believe that Jesus is the son of God. But I also know that we are to support Israel, I know God still favors the Jewish people, I haven't enough education to backup my beliefs. Please someone tell me the facts as we as Christians believe and the scripture to back it up. Why should we continue to support Israel?

The Islamic religous leaders seem to disagree with what the Thoran says because they say the Isrealites have altered it. And Muhhamed's are the true words of Allah. Wasnt Muhhamed only a prophet and why have they got to rely on the Irealites to keep the words of the Thoran werent they paying attention and wouldnt that be a sin to Allah for not listening when he spoke....Tey rely on the Quaran which was written y people listening to a prophet after he wa dead for two years. If Allah told you what he wanted wouldnt you make a noteof it straight away?

Should we begin including Catholics? I know - I know. Many of you are thinking of Priest jokes right now, but bear with me.

The fundies tell them that they aren't Christian, they tell them that they're going to hell, etc. Basically, they get the same crap we do without anyone having their back.

Really how does the Bible Contradict itself or are you trying to say that God's wrong? 2 Timothy 3:16 16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,..... 2 Peter 1:20-21 20Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. 21For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

and a reward for choosing another way?

Does that not completely defeat the meaning of the word "free"?Accroding to religious people, there is a cost for our actions that "God" makes us pay when we die. Some say if you accept Jesus then he has paid that cost. What if you accept Jesus but still use free will to do things that God said not to do?Are you cheating Jesus out of what he paid for you?And how much did he pay?Since when is free will something that can be bought? Is God bipolar or what?

why do people not believe in God? I mean come on. Maybe you can't see him but he is there! People, t.v. and radio stations are poisining your mind. Their saying that he's not there and he hasn't helped them but he has. He gave them life. He choose to take time out of His life to sit down and make you. There is no one else like you. How speacial is that? That makes me feel loved when i'm not and happy when i'm sad. Whats your faith and why?

came back next month and called upon one of his diciples to relay a message to mankind and the person was a Homosexual Atheist and the message was, "Love one another without prejudice and regardless of personal belief. To accept in your heart the differences in one another and live your life the way you choose as long as you bring no harm onto another human being" Would you love your fellow atheist and homosexuals as you do your fellow christians and straight friends? Would you listen to GOD?
Please answer the question, I don't want to hear a bunch of christians saying " GOD would never say that or do that" Because you don't really know that.
Just answer if you would or wouldn't listen to the word of GOD and do this! Thank you!
