7 of anything they'd eat. 2 of everything else.

Genesis 6:19-20 simply instructs Noah to preserve two of every kind. Genesis 7:2-3 is additional information where seven of the clean animals were to be taken and two of every other kind. The reason for this is that the extra animals were for sacrifice. "Then Noah built an altar to the LORD, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar," (Gen. 8:20).
Logically, to have seven pairs also means that there are two pairs, since the two are included in the seven. If one verse said take only one pair and another verse said seven pairs, that would be a contradiction.

No there aren't references to both.

It's 2 of every unclean animal, 7 of every clean one, and then every kind of bird was brought on in sevens.

"Take with you seven of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and two of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, and also seven of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth." Gen 7:2 &3

You should take the time to come up with real questions that will be difficult, rather than ones that make people realize you never read the book you are criticizing. This was the equivalent of the, "If I am a monkey, where is my tail?" question about evolution. Do you want to be that guy?

Each kosher, edible animal would be brought in groups of 7. The other animals would be brought in groups of 2.

So, ironically, the man sent to save the world's animals ending up eating some of them.

2 each of unclean, 7 each of the clean! It might help if you read The Holy Bible.

two of every unclean, 7 of every clean
I assume it meant 1 male and the rest females, the seven clean were to boost the repopulation of each clean ( edible) animal.

The only thing you should look for in the Bible is for a merciful God who came back to save the disobedient.
