I am Baptist. We believe faith in Christ is the only way to Heaven (John 3:3). We believe the Bible is 100% correct and it was written by God (2 Timothy 3:15-17). We believe that the majority of the world is going to Hell (Matthew 7:13-14). If you want more info, go to www.gotquestions.org. They give all info needed about what Baptists believe.

I am a Southern Baptist. We believe in the Bible, believe it to be the perfect INFALLIBLE word of God. We are governed by that belief. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and yet God Himself. We go to church on Sunday, and also Wednesday prayer meetings. There are other days for church events, but that depends on the size and needs of the church. The building is not the church by the way, we are the church. We believe that the only way to heaven is through the blood of Jesus because that is what the Word tells us. People accuse us of excluding others. That isn't the case, it's just that the Bible says no one gets to the Father except through The Son.

I grew up in a Baptist church so I might help here
Baptists usually attend services at least once a week. Sunday morning, Sunday eve sometimes and a midweek service. That might be We or Thurs It varies. They baptise believers that are of age- usually at least 12 years old. Old enough to have chosen Christ as their own Savior, and old enough to believe on their own. They baptise by immersion. There is a baptismal tank- a tub like structure.
As for doctrinal belief- that's the same as oth churches
Hopes this helps

Baptists typically hold services on Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening. Some churches have other activities for members to participate in.
Don't be so shy about asking him about his religion. He may not be really active in his religion. Just be yourself. He'll respect your honesty in being yourself more than trying to do what you think he might want. If you do or say something that he doesn't like, I'm sure he'll let you know. Just relax and be yourself. Good luck

It depends on how "strict" they are in their faith. And if they are Southern Baptist, or Northern Baptist, or one of the off-shoots of one of them. The Southern Baptists I grew up with went to church a lot. Sunday morning, usually Sunday evening, AND on Wednesday nights. THEN there was the occasional "pot luck supper" on Monday or Thursday........not to mention a large number of tent revivals (which I referred to as traveling road shows). Their traditions were rather strict.....they didn't approve of drinking alcohol or gambling or even dancing. They were pretty fundamental in their beliefs. But, just because somebody says they are Baptist doesn't mean they are fundamental about it.
Don't be shy about asking him about his religion. That's an excellent way to get to know somebody. You can tell him about yours, too. Asking doesn't mean you have to switch your faith or anything, and shouldn't be threatening.

I am Baptist. We believe Jesus is the only way to heaven, we read the bible every time we are there. We are encouraged to read it. Our service is 2 hours and 30 minutes long on Sundays. We don't workship idols, I know in my church if we have a cross we have it w/out Jesus body because we believe he died and rose 3 days later. So we celebrate He lives.
That is about it. HTH

Baptists go to church on Sundays, sit in their comfortable pews and give each other the reach around while people are dyin in the streets around them. Then they go out to eat afterwards where people have to work.... even when the God they worship tells them not to work on the Sabbath. I think they have a mild form of retardation personally.

our "traditions" are non-existant.
We go to church, worship God in song and prayer, learn a bit of his word, and fellowship with others. We go to church when we can.
