I've read & posted many questions here over the past few weeks regarding religion and it really sickens me when I see so many "christians" talking down to non-believers or trying to make them think they are going to hell or just generally trying to make them feel rotten.
Is that really a christ-like thing to do?
I mean, MAKE ME UNDERSTAND why you do it. Because as of right now, I don't get it! The bible says not to judge people, but yet so many do! The bible says that it is God's decision whether or not you get into heaven, so why would you run around telling people they are going to hell. Are you a psychic? Can you tell the future? I don't think so.
Basically, everytime I see one of you christains doing that it just makes me more convinced that I never want to associate with that kind of lifestyle.
Does it ever occur to you guys that when you say all those mean things to us that it doesnt really make us want to jump up and go to church? So what really are you accomplishing?

I am a Catholic who relies on my own perception of what a person reveals to me. You can be the witch who makes ointments for the vet clinic or the atheist who helps the stranded old lady get her flat changed.
You are more than your belief or non-belief in a creator and more than your practice of any faith.
However, a faith of any kind, dies if it isn't fed by practice and supportive community. So, to those who claim to be Christian and yet, never attend church services, I ask, why bother? Non-believers search for significance and answers and yes, ask questions such as this one. This is an example of someone who has passion. Closet believers, what are you afraid of and what are you trying to prove?

In answer to your question, I do not judge you, except for how moral a human being you are. I applaud you for your resolve.
May your life be full of meaning and may you have no regrets.

Because most of them are sinners themselves. They are insecure with what they believe. They get intimidated by the opinion of others. These hard core Christians think that they can sin during the day and go to church Sunday and Wednesday and all will be forgiven.. It is sick and they don't have a heart or respect for others. I am a christian I have my own beliefs, I don't live by the bible or go to church, and I have had some put down what I believe and criticize me. All I have to say to these people are when you meet your maker at the end are you going to be able to look them in the eye and say that you never sinned or broke a commandment? I think not..

I have to agree with you ,I am First Nations and 500 years ago there was no heaven or hell. Why do these man made Bibles cause so much grief towards my people they think i worship the devil. We got our own beliefs and i do happen to believe in the Lord i believe he has many names and i don't go around and preach that.I call him Wakan Tanka Or Creator. And i ain't no lost soul.So don't be trying to save me.That is my message to the total christian.

As a Christian, i find that i know what is right and what is wrong. when i see people doing wrong and living a sinful life, it saddens me and makes it hard not to judge someone who i know is doing something immoral and unclean. it is important to remember though that it is not my place, nor the place of any other human, to judge others; it is God's. we are not God, nor anything close to Him, so it is unfair and a sin for us to judge others. All humans were/are created equal, therefore, Christians are no better than anyone else. Remember: Christians are sinners like everybody else. i hope i helped. God Bless.

Judging people is part of human nature. You yourself is judging Christians. See you guys want us to tell it like it is but yet, when we do, we get bashed for it. At one point or another you and everyone else has judged someone without even knowing it. And by doing so has turned people away form what they wanted to set out to do. We all have discouraged people. All in all, we all got to stop judgin people, not only Christians but everyone including myself.

I'm afraid that you globalize too much...There are so many Christians and I'm very sure not all of them judge and not even most of them...All PEOPLE judge,no matter of what religion they are..So there is no need ot ask this kind of question, just ignore if someone said something like that, their problem :)

I'm a Christian and I know exactly what your talking about. They go around judging and it gives the faith a bad name. They should'nt be doing this. They should love people without hatred and fulfill the great commission to love one another in this way. Its all about tolerance in a perfect world but its not perfect.

You speak of Christians in such a wide frame.

I must say that not all Christians are like that. I myself being one, I'd hate to think that I ever did something like that to someone - especially purposefully. But if I have, I apologize, that was never my intention.

And even ones who say they are Christian and aren't of the same faith as I, I have to say that not all of them do this either. I'm sure the ones who don't mean to are sorry as well.

Can you find it in your heart to forgive?
