... into a search engine or Dictionary search, to find out the REAL meaning of Theory in science? Or is it that they're purposely totally ignoring that in favor of the laymans meaning of the word Theory just so they think they can make themselves look good?

I thought that when we were born again, we were new creatures in Christ, old things past? Therefore, to me that homosexual should not and would not want to identify with that description anymore since they are new creatures in Christ. I keep reading Christians say that its okay if he can be or continue to call him/herself a homosexual but not practice it. Any thoughts?

There are some who believe in the literal meaning in Genesis that God created it all in six days. Thats ok. Its not something worth dividing over but perhaps worthy of vigorous debate. Astrophysicists and cosmologists have come to believe that the universe had a beginning and things are lining up more and more every day with the claims of the theists. Darwnian naturalists that are not of academia or students of academia are growing fewer in number as the discoveries of the universe give reasons why a steady state universe neccessary for evolution is virtually impossible.
What this does is destroy the premise of evolutionary theory due to the fact that the mathematical probability neccessary for naturalistic origins vanishes with the accepted age of the universe. Scientist place the age between 7.8 billion to 15 billion years. Evolution requires at least a trillion x a trillion 43 times. Thats before consciousness. What mechanism causes consciousness then in naturalistic theory?

this question is mainly for theists

lets assume your god exists

can you explain how and why exactly god would send someone to hell for simply not believing in him? can you suficiently explain how nonbelief in your god would warrant such a punishment as ETERNAL TORTURE? can you explain why you think god would take such an extreme act for an infringement that has little (if any) negative consequence to him?

what does god gain from you or i beleiving in him? what does he lose if you or i dont?

can you explain how eternal torture is justified? can you explain how god can still be all merciful and all loving if he is willing to send someone to such a horrible fate?

how do you justify this in your head? how do you look at this threat and stil lcome to the conclusion that your god is all good? all wonderful?

if there was ever a need for more evidence that someone is suffering from some mental illness...this is it.

so how do you justify gods actions and threats?

Why would God entrust the spreading of 'His' word to one of his 'fallible' children?

He knows humans are sinners. If God loved us so much and he wants us to be with him, why would he put our eternal souls at risk like that?

I'm researching the holy spirits place in the trinity for my bible study. What do you believe and why? I'd appreciate bible verses that pertain to the trinity or holy spirit. Just give me anything that you can think of on the topic, because I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for.

Honestly, what teachings are derived specifically from "being without belief in the existence of a god or gods"? People talk about this "atheist belief system" and I'd really like to know what it is since apparently I'm already adhering to it.

By the way, if you plan on posting "it's a matter of faith, so it's a religion, so it's got a belief system!!!", don't bother. I'm not asking for this to be asserted for the billionth time. I'm asking for this supposed "belief system" to be described to me.

even if you want to take the torah as a literal, accurate, historical account, it talks about other religions and gods that predate or at least coincided with the hebrew religion. it talks about how we basically practiced a form of paganism, not judaism, albeit with the belief that there was one god, before we entered the covenant with god to be jews. so my question is, where is this misinformation coming from? when i google search ancient religions i get animism and wiccan, so are they purposely spreading misinformation, and if so, why?

i love being jewish, i don't care if it was first or not. that seems a very silly reason to follow a religion anyway. i just don't get why it matters enough for some people to lie about it. so, tell me, what am i missing here?

You hear it all the time from desperate apologists "Muslims only fight in self defense".

If there ever was a bigger lie told than this, I surely havent heard it because the exact polar opposite is true.

First, the Quran never ever ever says to "fight only in self defense", instead it says to "fight everyone who doesnt believe in Allah". Quran 9:29.

Those who lie otherwise, try to do so based on Surah Two's request not to "kill innocents". Of course, if youve studied Islam even a little bit, then you know of the amazing hatred expressed for non-believers who are called "enemies" or "kafir". Enemies are not innocent...unbelievers are not innocent and thus in conjunction with all the other commands to murder unbelievers, can and should be killed.

As it turns out, Muslims follow their scripture well. Its a historical fact that Muslims invaded India and killed more humans than anyone before or since. They invaded Europe, Asia and...wait, I thought Muslims only fight in defense
