Definitely Mahalia Jackson & Elvis--Al Green, the Winans, the Gaithers (&all their Homecoming Friends) the list is a long one--I love Gospel music. I left out George Beverly Shea

Well lets see: The Happy Goodmans especially Vestal
Dottie Rambo (who also wrote many of what are considered to be the standards of Gospel), The Carter Family, Alabama, The Stampels, Ricky Skaggs. Most all the old Country singers started out in Gospel, like Dolly Parton.

yeah elvis was great but there are more greater gospel singers like statler brothers,oak ridge boys, etc.
