I just asked a question, on which some people answered me with 'babies aren't born as atheists'...

But then what? Babies are born with the knowledge of a Biblical God? Or knowledge of Allah? Or Zeus? Or Mithras?

As what are babies born, if not as atheists?

if you, as an atheist, don't believe in this "man from apes" nonsense as you put it, where do you stand on where man originated.

this goes to all atheists as well

Quran 8:39 “and fight with them until...religion should be only for allah" http://cwis.usc.edu/dept/msa/quran/008.qmt.htmlhttp://cwis.usc.edu/dept/msa/quran/008.qmt.html

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah addressed the concept of violent Jihad in his Majmoo' al-Fataawa, 28/263. The purpose is that all religion should be for Allaah alone, and that the word of Allaah should be supreme…””

Muslim World Magazine addresses the subject this way "There should be some kind of fear in the western world, one of the causes of which is that since the time it first appeared in Makkah, Islam has never decreased in numbers, rather it has always continued to increase and spread. Moreover Islam is not only a religion, rather one of its pillars is jihad."

I know this is all very hard to believe, especially factoring in the assurances your Islamic aquaintaince gives you, but its a mainstream reality of Islamic groupthink.

Evolution as it concerns to biology:
In biology, evolution is the change in the inherited characteristics, or traits of a population of organisms. Heritable traits are encoded in the genetic material of an organism (usually DNA); changes in this genetic material (mutation) and the subsequent spread of these changes in the population drives evolution.

concerning Abiogenesis:
Today the term is primarily used to refer to hypotheses about the chemical origin of life, such as from a primordial sea or in the vicinity of hydrothermal vents, and most probably through a number of intermediate steps, such as non-living but self-replicating molecules (biopoiesis). Abiogenesis remains a hypothesis, meaning it is the working assumption for scientists researching how life began.

Additionally, biologists have never claimed that humans evolved from monkeys.

The ? Is the Evolution of monkeys into human beings a theory? no. Thefore arent you basing your beliefs on faith like a christian?

A Christian living in a Muslim land or a Muslim living in a Christian land?

God is all-knowing, he knows exactly what will happen. He knows every hair on our head by name, or something like that.

That means he also knows, even before a child is conceived, if that child will die 80 years later as an atheist or not. Which means, God knows already before the kid is born if it will end up in Heaven or Hell.

Why would God allow an unborn baby to be born, knowing this same baby will later burn forever and ever and ever and ever in Hell? A simple abortion or miscarriage would get the kid to Heaven.

Does God hate babies? Or just Atheist babies? Or is God simply 'a rule is a rule, no matter what circumstances' kinda guy? Even if He obviously makes the rules all by himself...

The fable of the virgin[*] birth always made me queasy. Just as Zeus jumped on hapless girls, the god of the new testement did the same. Rape. Of course alteration was necessary, as normal, healthy sexual intercourse between Joseph & Mary was considered a repeat offense of original sin. But I find the alternative repulsive, and as a woman and a feminist it always angered me.
As someone once said, 'If I'd been the Virgin Mary I have said 'No.' " But rape hardly allowed that option.
Christians, past & present, seem to view immaculate conception necessary. Seems unpleasantly prurient, indeed deviant. How they can not only condone the rape of a young girl by their perfect god
and complacently tell this disgusting, misogynistic myth to their children is beyond me. If anyone ever tells my young niece this trash, my liberal heart will cease to bleed immediatly!

*"virgin" is a mistranslation, changed in the Greek. In the original Hebrew text it means a young woman, a maiden

. When the Jews pointed out this corruption the Greeks took no heed, made no correction. The Catholic Church deliberately stuck to and taught this falsity.

Does this make anyone else nauseated?
(I am speaking of this as myth.)

The thought that man must become as perfect as God while still living in the present life (Mat 5:48), was a commonly held belief among the first Hebrew and Gentile Christians.

Once this fact is realized, we must ask ourselves why we, today, are hostile to a religious tenet that was openly embraced by the first Church of the New Covenant? Moreover, why does this concept of religion that was extensively written about over the first three centuries, now invoke fear and overt opposition in the hearts of the modern believer?

lets assume god exists.

god is willing to send those who do not reciprocate belief in him to be tortured for all eternity. god plays no part in society...meaning he does not interact with us, he does not save people, he does not ward off evil.

were god to exist and he to care for us then its logical to assume that god would take care of his flock. the sheep know the sheperd exists because the sheperd wards off wolves.

since the "sheep" (people) are constantly eaten off by wolves (crappy things :P ) its safe to assume that there is no shepherd watching us and/or protecting us.

so the question is, after all weve seen, experienced and been witness to....is god worth praising?

my answer is a resounding "no"

.....whats yours?

and if your answer is yes...what is your reason for saying yes? what is your justification for continued praise?

I wanted to join the organization but while doing some research I bumped into some disturbing info:

- Is Freemasonry link to the Rosicrucians? If not, why is there a degree in Freemasonry called the Rosy Cross.

- Is there any mention of JAH-BUL-ON in freemasonary rituals?

- Is it true that 32 degree Masons have to drink in a human skull for their Initiation.

I would really appreciate it if masons and non-masons can clarify me on these points or expand on the topic.
