i dont know a whole about it, but id like too. thats why i need a bible thats kinda easy to understand and not as much symbolic language. Or even if its not online, any suggestions?

Jesus has identified himself with those most unfortunate, the suffering, the homeless, the asylum seekers, the naked and the thirsty.

Why don't Christians recognize him?

According to Christians, god is omnipotent, omniscient, and immortal. He/she/it can do anything, be anything... basically change the universe the way we take a breath.

Ergo, god could have as many "sons" as god wants. If god can do anything, and have anything, than god cannot SACRIFICE. Even if Jesus was god, sacrifice is an impossible concept for an all powerful being, because it can never be less than it is. Therefore, there is no reason why I should *feel* anything concerning god's so called loss, because it could not happen.

This is just another slick control method the creators of this religion employed. They obviously knew that humans could relate powerfully to the concept of losing a child, so they wrote it in to make the followers feel guilt.

An eight year old child can think through the contradictions in this religion, which I guess is why I became an atheist at seven.

From my perception, Muhammad was just another in a long line of people who came to say that we cannot trust the Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation and must regard his teaching alone as the revealed word of God. What gives Muhammad's Qur'an credibility over the Bible?

1. Use the rules of science to answer. We know that you can't get something from nothing.
2. Science has tried to prove spontaneous generation could happen with no success. Even the simplest of creatures is far more complex than Darwin dared to imagine.

Now to start with I am a Muslim, a fellow on yahoo answer asked me to read the part of the book the prophet of doom related to women in Islam and I did.

I found some of the things the guy is saying in his book as misleading and plain wrong and I would like to know your opinion.

I will start with the last one he used and I will go up the list. I will only deal with what he is saying from the Quran because I have read the Quran many times and familiar with it.

Here is the first one according

24:6 “And for those who launch a charge against their wives, accusing them, but have no witnesses or evidence, except themselves; let the testimony of one of them be four testimonies, (swearing four times) by Allah that he is the one speaking the truth.”

The book had it with no other comments related to it so you have all what is in the book related to it

Now as I see it the verse by itself is showing that Islam looks at women as a lower grade than men.

So heres what I wonder. Im not sure it pretains to macro evolution or not, but seems like it should apply. How can you explain why creatures were created by pure chance and started thier quest of mico evolution, but some evolved into carbon copies of themselves, while others decided to have indivual markings? Just an example...People, none look exactly the same, Zebras all have different stripes, trees all grow in different angles....while a one Robin looks exactly like another, one jellyfish of the same species looks exactly like another, blades of grass in the same genis look exactly the same. These are just a few examples that popped to mind. Anyone have thoughts on how this could occur? Since to believe in Macro evoultion, we all crawled out of the same swamp?

It's obvious that we will never agree on whether god exists or not so why don't we agree on things that we know do exist.
Peace, love, and compassion. Doesn't god represent these things anyway? The absolutes can never be changed or corrupted by man, it is what it is and if we all strived to be the best human we can, we can put aside all this silly bickering. God does not want us to fight; he wants us to get along regardless of belief.
It would be amazing if for one day there were no insults, hateful remarks, or criticism on the R&S section. Lets make it happen!

Do you really want to know if there are UFO's? Once and for all if you were given the chance to vote for a polotician who could get and make that information public, would you really want to know? Part of the fun is it might just be a myth afterall, or maybe not.

One gal just posted this as an answer to a question about satan:

"It may seem messed up but who are we to know the mind of God.? He knew what would happen but He knew also He'd have the victory in the end. He loves you so much that He couldn't create a world without you in it. That's why He sent Jesus to pay the price for your sins. So you would have a way to access Him."

I had to sit back and laugh.

In her first sentence, she states "who are we to know the mind of God?"

AND THEN, she proceeds to tell us all about THE MIND OF GOD, what he thinks, what he knows, and what he expects of everyone. Wow, what an ego she has, to claim to know all of that, right after saying "who are we to know the mind of God?"

Yikes! What is wrong with people? Does belief in a cult automatically erase wisdom, logic, reason and intelligence?

if god is all knowing and all loving why did he create the being that would eventually turn out to be satan. if he knew everything that was going to happen he knew that Lucifer would become satan. and if he loves all humans why did he create the being that is supposedly responsible for all the bad things that happen in the world and why did god give him dominion over the earth. that seems a little messed up to me.
