According to Christians, god is omnipotent, omniscient, and immortal. He/she/it can do anything, be anything... basically change the universe the way we take a breath.

Ergo, god could have as many "sons" as god wants. If god can do anything, and have anything, than god cannot SACRIFICE. Even if Jesus was god, sacrifice is an impossible concept for an all powerful being, because it can never be less than it is. Therefore, there is no reason why I should *feel* anything concerning god's so called loss, because it could not happen.

This is just another slick control method the creators of this religion employed. They obviously knew that humans could relate powerfully to the concept of losing a child, so they wrote it in to make the followers feel guilt.

An eight year old child can think through the contradictions in this religion, which I guess is why I became an atheist at seven.

You seem to think that you understand God because you've listed a few of His characteristics, but you really haven't the foggiest clue.

A perfectly true and Holy God does not just do this or that on one day or another just because he has the ability to do so. He is in fact so eternally true and consistent that when His own justice demands payment for sin, and none could possibly pay it, in an incredibly infinitely gracious act, He paid the debt Himself.

Mock the sacrifice of Christ if you will, but if you really understood it, you'd know it was the most wonderful thing describable.

Knowing about it is not the same thing as understanding it and as long as you keep your heart closed and dark, you'll continue to be blind to it.

(now if you'll excuse me, I have a secret meeting at the Mind Control Council -- I have to report on you brave athiests who seem to be resisting our control)

1) Why should you? Don't. I have no desire to convert you - go be whatever you want to be.

2) Substitutionary atonement (which is what you just described) is not taught in the Bible, and did appear in Christian theology until the 5th century. Even then, it was not widely accepted until the 11th century, and is still only accepted by Roman Catholic and Protestant denominations.

3) Even an eight year old can look up "contradiction" in the dictionary. A logical contradiction must hold "A" and "not-A" simultaneously.

God has on Son, and many sons and daughters. Jesus said He was the first born of many brothers/children. As Christians, we are God's children, adopted into Gods family.

and contrary to popular belief, God cannot be anything. He can't be a sinner, no go against what He is, as He is the same today/yesterday, and tomorrow.

and God (Jesus) gave Himself up. It was a special sacrifice, as it wasn't from man to God, but from God to "Himself" (for lack of a better term). Sacrifices were used to cover sin, as blood represented life and sin represented death and God is life and He requires life of His people. When Jesus died, He not only wiped away sin (which is better than just covering it) but regained man's lost rights to fellowship and closeness with God.

and also contrary to poular beleif, God cannot have everything He wants. He wants all of mankind as His own children, but even He knows this is not going to happen.

I hope you understand what I am trying to say.

Contradiction: I named Nobel Prize winning physicists who believe in creation, and evolutionists claimed that physics was irrelevant. Without the laws of physics the universe would not exist, and neither would any life-forms exist. Your take on Christianity is a different version than Christians profess; and therefore, your argument makes no sense. You use the Bible to 'prove' things without understanding what it says. That's a contradiction.

Most Christians are too deluded to see the illogic of the idea of a necessary sacrifice. If there actually was a god, and he wanted to forgive our sins, he wouldn't require that his "son" or anyone else be sacrificed first.

People need to believe in something greater than themselves because humanity is a mess at the moment. If we have to look to each other for hope we might as well all put a gun in our mouths. Not all Christians try to shove their religion down peoples throats, just ignore them.

What sacrifice? He came back didn't he? There was no sacrifice if he came back as a super being. He just had a bad weekend for our sins.

Even the drunk in the video knows that.

Yes completely true. Not only that Jesus ask you to fall on your knees and kiss his holy butt to thank him for haning out with us mortals. Look at a grave of unknown solider who died fighinting against the Nazis and you will find a person who asked nothing in return.

honestly, I can't argue with you. I began questioning my catholic religion at age 8; I continuously asked questions that my priests and teachers could not answer me. They even had to lie through most explanations and it was plum ridiculous. I became a spiritualist with my own faith at age 8 years old.
