Why are there so many mistranslations in the Old Testament? Not to mention, why are so many things are taken out of context?

For example, in the english translation of the Hebrew Bible it is clear Isaiah 53 (The Suffering Servent) refers to the Jewish people but in the Old Testament (taken from the same text) it refers to Jesus who will come later.

Please add links if possible...

The Old General and The Count

In Russia shortly before the horrible military campaign between Napoleon and Russia in 1812, two high-ranking military men, one a Count and the Military Governor of Moscow and the other a General, were scoffing over drinks about the existence of God, life after death and Hell. They made a mocking "pledge of honor": if there were a Hell, the first there would come to inform the other of it. A few weeks later, the General departed for the front. One morning, while the Count was lying in bed, the General suddenly appeared before him, pale, with his right hand on his breast, declaring: "What do we do now? There is a Hell and I am there! What do we do now?" He then disappeared. The Count ran to friends, eyes wild, hair on end, and exclaimed what had just happened. Two weeks later, word was received in Moscow that the General had died in battle – on the same day and at the very hour he appeared to the Count. He had kept his word of honor: Hell exists

They had a lovely service. Reverend Mark Raphael conducted the service. He preached how Jesus was able to walk on water because gravity does not exist. God holds everything down. If anything like gravity existed it would have pulled him under. It seams that science was invented by Atheists back during the renaissance in Rome to try and destroy Christians. Science is not real. It is only a ploy by Atheists to destroy all religions. God controls everything. God runs thing in the order he chooses. Things are not run by some mysterious science laws of nature. He pointed out that not a single law invented by science was proven. it was all theory. We sang Amazing Grace and had a beautiful service. I can hardly wait for the Anti Gravity day Church outing on the 21st. The first day of Spring. Doesen't that sound lovely Has anyone ever flown in an Anti Gravity Blimp?

im only 14.
my friend was over and she asked me if her boyfriend & his friend could come over i said yes and my friend and her boyfriend where on the top bunk while me and the other kid where on the bottom bunk of my bed.
I made the first move by kissing him,i guess i did it becasue he was really hot but i still shouldnt have anyways then things escaladed & i told him where not having sex but he kind of forced me into it but i made him stop.
anyways a few days after it happend he called me and I let him come over again then we actually had sex,
that was my first time ever doing it and it was with someone i dont even know.
i made him use a condom, it broke but im not pregnant.
thank god.
right now hes in juvi for drugs.
i cannot bieleve i would do something like this to myslef & to god.
i am a christian and i love god with all of my heart.
but im just wondering what i should do to make this situation better?

Just because we don't believe in your god doesn't mean we don't believe in anything. We believe in our families, we believe in our abilities, we believe in our friends... Just to name a few things we believe in. One god doesn't have to be replaced with another.
