I have noticed alot of Ministers, especially here in Texas driving pretty nice cars, BMW's And Mercedes. I was just wondering why bother paying a minster or a pastor anyways. I mean shouldn't God just take care of him? Do you think a Pastor or Minister would be so motivated to spread gods word if he didn't get paid?

If Sarah tricked Abraham into giving the first born birth right to Jacob instead of Ishmael who deserved the birth right because he was the first born by Hagar - Why would such deception be rewarded? It tells us that Sarah was jealous of Hagar and at one time sent her away. Then she tricked Abraham into giving to wrong child the birth right. If Abraham was not sick or blind - he would of gave the birth right to Ishmael And God still tells Ishmael he will have a strong nation. But the fact remains that Sarah was a lier and a deceiver. I am not Muslim it is just an interesting question and would like to see what people think.

For those who do not know - Mohamed comes from Ishmael and Jesus comes from Jacob. Ishmael and Jacob were the sons of Abraham.

It also tells us that Hagar was Ethiopian.

Is this girl for real? I came across her question and I had to laugh. Does she really think she is scaring anybody by reporting them to authorities because somebody told her to get a life?
She had asked a question earlier that she sent an email for Tyra Banks to get saved and one guy told her to "get a life"
This was her response...

I hope she doesn't come after me next.

005.082 Strongest among men in enmity to the believers wilt thou find the Jews and Pagans; and nearest among them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say, "We are Christians": because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant.

This is for the girl who calls her self slave of.... first of all that comment wasn't directed towards you. So I don't think that if you were asking a simple question and somebody got smart with you, you wouldn't retaliate. It's okay to have an opinion about something but don't be getting all puffed up with me over something you don't know about or understand why I said what I said in the first place.

P.S. I've Reported you too!!!

How does evolution account for the fact that man has evolved to the point of being able to destroy all living things? Is there any other species that evolved to soil its own bed?

Aside from providing food for worms, are there any significant life cycle interactions that can be credited to man? Example: If his nitch is basically parasitic: We might then show proof that man functions, among other things, as a disease vector.

Given that man evolved: What is his evolutionary and non-cognitive place and service in nature?

"There is One who is dwelling above the circle of the earth, the dwellers in which are as grasshoppers, the One who is stretching out the heavens just as a fine gauze, who spreads them out like a tent in which to dwell." - Isaiah 40:22

"He is stretching out the north over the empty place,
Hanging the earth upon nothing." - Job 26:7

"All the winter torrents are going forth to the sea, yet the sea itself is not full. To the place where the winter torrents are going forth, there they are returning so as to go forth." - Ecclesiastes 1:7

To truely understand Islam and to be a true Muslim, is open mindedness required?

I ask because as far as the overall understanding of Islam, there are Islamophobic people who speak basesless falsehoods about Islam on one end and hate-fueled murderous so-called Muslims on the other end. Both sides are working from an almost if not complete lack of understanding of Islam.

I have just read a question on here that has made me cringe, should homosexuals go to hell?

What a disgusting thing to say let alone think. These are people you are talking about, not objects!

I thought that your religions were about love and living happily as one.

I am glad that i don't believe in your gods, i'm proud to be an atheist, if thats what your religion teaches you, then i am better off out of it and away from it.

Who are you to say that being gay is right or wrong!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm just analysing things from a Christian pow.
How exactly did God grant us free will, since in the end it all comes down to
either 1. we choose the morally right path => we go to Heaven
or 2. we choose the morally wrong path => we go to Hell?

I mean, we actually have to choose between Heaven or Hell, and what does the free will have to do with that since no sound human being would choose eternal pain? Those who get it in the end are not there because they "choose" to be there, but because they have, well, disregarded some essential information. Which again has not much to do with free choice.

How were Adam and Eve supposed to know that disrespecting God's command was *wrong*, as long as, well, they hadn't eaten from the fruit of knowledge yet? And what were they supposed to do with their free will, since they couldn't tell good from evil?... (I mean, possessing free will means being able to choose what seems *best* for you, but if I lack data, like knowing which alternative is morally right, how can I choose properly?)
