005.082 Strongest among men in enmity to the believers wilt thou find the Jews and Pagans; and nearest among them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say, "We are Christians": because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant.

After winning the battle against the Meccan pagans, the Prophet moved toward the Bani Quraiza tribe to justly reprove them (as per the treaty) for breaking the sacred agreed upon alliance. By his mercy, the Prophet asked the Jewish tribe as to who should be the judge to grant them the appropriate castigation. The Jews agreed that one of their own men, Sa'd ibn Mu'adh (a Jewish convert to Islam) to be their judge.

Thus Sa'd (and NOT the Prophet) questioned the Jewish tribe, (p. 317): "will ye, then bind yourselves by the covenant of God that whatsoever I shall decide, ye shall accept?" There was a murmur of assent. "Then" Proceeded Sa'd, "my judgement is that the men shall be put to death...". Then the judgement was likewise implemented.

Well .. do not forget that Jews were dominating the Medina and therefore prophet Muhammad had to give some reason for Muslims to kick Jews out of the Medina.

Try to read more about the following battles:
1- Banu Nodair
2- Banu Koyanka'a
3- Banu Korayza

Did God say that or Satan?
I am a Christian and I have met Muslim people and I love them although I believe they have made a mistake. I also love Jews who are God's chosen people even though they renounce God.
Here is my question:
Is this why fanatical muslims have attacked Jews?

you mean why did muhammad say that the Jews hate Muslims, and that is because he hates the Jews because of their loyalty to the one true God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. as he wants to destroy the Jews and the rest of Europe and thinks that the Muslims will rule the world. so its very convenient that he said that in the quran.

I doubt you will find many Jews that think of the Koran as the word of God.

Maybe its because Muhammad ordered over 800 men of the Jewish Banu Qurayzah (whom he had a peace treaty with) to be executed by beheading.

You read that wrong. What it says is that Allah hates Jews and pagans, not that Jews hate Muslims.
