Why are there so many mistranslations in the Old Testament? Not to mention, why are so many things are taken out of context?

For example, in the english translation of the Hebrew Bible it is clear Isaiah 53 (The Suffering Servent) refers to the Jewish people but in the Old Testament (taken from the same text) it refers to Jesus who will come later.

It's a matter of interpretation. Christians are adamant that Jesus fulfills all of the Messianic prophecies, and several others just to be extra sure.

Jews feel otherwise. It's our text, perhaps we should be the ones to cast the deciding vote, nu?

Not really. Isaiah 53 is a prophetic text referring to the Suffering Servant, who was the Messiah to come.
