Apparently Abraham Lincoln was a big fan of the Bible.
Of course, this forum is filled with folks who are smarter than Abraham Lincoln. If the IQ test (which was invented by a Christian) had been around in Lincoln's day, we would see how low he scored compared to his atheist contemporaries.

Abraham Lincoln is giving his testimony faith and trust in the Holy Word of God.

1 Corinthians 1:17 - For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

1 Corinthians 1:19 - For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

1 Corinthians 1:20 - Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

1 Corinthians 1:21 - For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

1 Corinthians 1:24 - But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

1 Corinthians 2:5 - That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

I'd like to see a source for those.

But, going on the assumption that Lincoln actually did say all those things, theyre comin from the same man who didnt think black people should ever be equal to whites. Not very impressive.

What about this quote from Lincoln: " The Bible is not my book nor Christianity my profession. I could never give assent to the long, complicated statements of Christian dogma."

it is writen that wisdom is "knowing gods word". In my humble opinion Lincoln had wisdom. The first step to being wise is being quiet,, the second step is listening. He did both.
