It wasn't just the Jews, Hitler persecuted everyone - pagans, christians, homosexuals, immigrants. I think it was a vote-winning tactic that became a desperate, nightmarish massacre

Their not entirely sure if he was half-jew, that was a rumour spread by opponents and used in Soviet propaganda. If he was, his father was probably the Jewish part, as he beat him daily.
