Yes, it is in there. If you feed someone who is hungry, it is the same as if you had found Jesus hungry and fed Him. If you visit someone who is sick or in prison, it is the same as if Jesus had been sick or in prison and you visit Him. It is in the gospels of Matthew and Mark. And yes, I try to practice it in my daily life.

I don't. I practice 6 of the 7 deadly sins each day. I try not to practive Gluttony. Though thats Catholic isn't it. Also I hate your christian god. If I had the chance I would burn as many of your bibles as I could. Now from what I just I will probably get a lot of thumbs down. I don't care do what you will.

I think as you grow in the love of God you learn how to love people more and more. Jesus said if you love others as you love yourself, you'll never break a commandment. The Bible also says to do whatever you do as though you were doing it for the Lord. So....I wasn't sure exactly how to interpret your question, but I believe those are two different things and we are to practice both of them. I tried to look up the verses for both of these. I don't think Col. 3:17 was the one I was searching for, but I couldn't find that specific one. Anyway, here they are:

Romans 13:8-10
8Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law. 9The commandments, "Do not commit adultery," "Do not murder," "Do not steal," "Do not covet," and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: "Love your neighbor as yourself." 10Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Colossians 3:17
17And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

I'm the only one who's ever preached the golden rule around here I swear - it was jesus' simple message. yes, all the hate, prejudice, you name it - we do unto Jesus. and what he was saying by that goes hand in hand to the golden rule. Jesus is within all of us and what we do to each other we do to him.

I know I try to practice it but I fall short. I think we all fall short no matter how hard we try but at least we try. Praise God that through his grace we have salvation!
