Religion & Spirituality - 7 March 2007

For those of you who are religious and don't stomp around I say "Good for you and God bless".

However, everytime I ever meet someone who is a real biblethumper, stereotypical born again super uber religious believer and I converse with them it all comes to show they have no faith. They spout words but they don't ever seem to truly believe in anything.

So did God create Satan knowing he would become a fallen angel, and then the one known as the deceiver? The answer of course is "yes" or God isn't all knowing.

So in knowing this did God create Lucifer strictly to deceive us?

The answer must be yes, but the question is "why"?

Why do we have to have so many countless of different types of churches?
Why is it that each and every church out there thinks that the other church is incorrect at what it is teaching even though they all go by the same belief that there is a heaven, and a hell, and we all had come from God the creator?
And why is it that some churches believe in teaching fear first before one can have faith and how come love isn't consider to be first before FEAR?

three thoughs came with this question:

1) u just ask for forgiviness just to be nice, BUT u don't really have to.

2) then a christian can do any sin he wishes since Jesus already died for ur sins. will that be a wonderful excues to commit crimes?

3) good people are equal to bad people, since Jesus died for all people sins.

If you think that science lends support to your faith, please explain how it dose.

It is my impression that scientific discovery has done nothing but expose faith as a false platform and that it has made a rather successful step-wise practice of undermining the very existence of god and the "facts" found in holy books.

I certainly don't have any faith in the nonsense of religious teaching and I don't think that there are very many scientists who could....

Once again: How does science lend support to you faith? Please Explain.

What if I used my free will to live a sin less life, but it's impossible if I'm born into sin.

Also not free will:
-My gender
-My race
-My parents
-My birthplace
-My sexuality
-My looks (though I'm not complaining)

I mean He got to leave a life where He was constantly ridiculed, and chased after to be murdered since birth to sit beside God in Heaven for eternity. Well wouldn't a couple of days of torture be worth that, shoot I work 8 hours for $75, I'm sacrificing more by ratio.

I'm curious, do a lot of religions acknowledge the memorial of Jesus death? I know in Luke 22:19, Jesus said to "keep doing this in remembrance of me." He was talking about the passover when Jesus drank the wine as a symbol of his blood and ate the loaf of bread which meant his body. Does your religion honor this night?

I don't go out, am not dating anyone, do not have sex - artificial or otherwise, drink moderately, no drugs of any kind, no social life, my car just broke down today so now I have no transporatation whatsoever. What is there left? I do hope to be attending school summer and fall semester, but other than that my life will be exactly the same as described. I am thinking of attending the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall. How does all this sound? Positive feedback appreciated. Thanks.

Because i am noticing that some crucial verses in the new testament which pertain to Lord "Master" in greek the word: KYPIOC, KYPION and that some bible versions put Jehovah in place of it.

This is in response to the new coin without "In God We Trust." Somehow I don't think it was an accident.
If the government leaders of the U.S. don't trust in God, are they going to lead us to peace and security? If God being almighty is higher than any human power wouldn't you think we should put trust in God first? To atheists...what and whom do you put your trust in?
