This is in response to the new coin without "In God We Trust." Somehow I don't think it was an accident.
If the government leaders of the U.S. don't trust in God, are they going to lead us to peace and security? If God being almighty is higher than any human power wouldn't you think we should put trust in God first? To atheists...what and whom do you put your trust in?

FYI: I do not vote for any government leaders nor do I put my trust in governments since they all are responsible for war and killing. I'm simply curious as to where politicians put their trust? Obviously not in God.

aren't you capable of putting your own trust in god or do you need a slogan on a dollar to do it for you?

Trust in God........Well the Federal government tried that during Hurricane Katrina...it didn't work.

Look the money never said those words until 1956
American money has been around since about 1780

no God on money the country was soaring and growing and getting better for 176 years

God on money..all leader corrupt, wars all the time, people have become dumber (seriously no joke) within 51 years

I SAY TIME TO GO BACK TO NO GOD ON MONEY!
it's worth a shot..if people stop "trusting God" and actually get off their @ss and fix stuff THEMSELVES it might just work.

Well....this could get deep but it boils down to this. What we deem as money is not money, not even a reserve note anymore. Meaning it can't be swapped for gold or silver anymore, its worthless piece of paper now.

Realize the Federal Reserve and all is NOT a federal item but a private company.

"We have in this country one of the most corrupt institutions the world has ever known. I refer to the Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Reserve Banks...They are, not government institutions. They are private monopolies which prey upon the people of these United States for the benefit of themselves and their foreign customers... "
- Senator Louis T. McFadden
22 yr Chairman US Banking/Currency Commission

Then get on Google or YouTube and look up the vids about how to fold the new money. You can line u the $100, $50, $20, $10, $5 and you can see the progression of the twin towers, standing, being hit, being on fire and falling.

Some say this is nonsense....sure...if it was on one bill I would agree....but all? And now the moving of " in God we Trust " to the edge rim....nothing more than a baby step and training aid to get the masses used to not seeing it. So the next coin or what not will come out and it won't even be there. And the masses will say....so what.

Satan's web at work.....1 strand of his web.

The world is not divided into Christians and Atheists. I put my trust in the constitution and in the genius of it. I believe that there are gods and goddesses but there is no reason to include religion in government. If the government leaders didn't trust in God, maybe we would be better educated, have more funding for scientific research that would lead to different energy resources and the rest of the world might actually see the good America does instead of the fundies yelling stupidly.

If only that("The United States doesn't trust in God anymore.") were true. However, all too many Americans still believe in the easter bunny and the tooth fairy too. Belief in god has nothing to do with whether or not the government leads us to "peace and security." We have one of the most religiously devout administrations ever in the history of our nation, and they have succeeded in undermining our peace and security now and probably for the next several generations.

As to your assertion that God is almighty, there has yet to be any credible evidence produced to demonstrate this entity exists. As for myself, I trust my intellect and my capacity to reason about whatever situation presents itself to me.

You know who else put their "trust in God?"

Suicide bombers.

U.S. trusts in God? How'd Vietnam against an atheist China go? How's Afghanistan/Iraq going?

Matter fact you think God likes you killing for oil, your country better stop trusting in God, cause if he's real, you're gonna get yours soon. (red states first for reelecting Bush, I mean he bombed the towers and you reelected him?!?!?)

"FYI: I do not vote for any government leaders nor do I put my trust in governments since they all are responsible for war and killing. I'm simply curious as to where politicians put their trust? Obviously not in God."

Well then what right do you have to critize their decisions?

And have you ever heard Bush, he's fully down with JC.

I trust in myself.

Christians run the White House, the Congress and the Supreme Court, and they have done so for most of U.S. history, leading us on a steady course from representative republic to fascist oligarchy. Nearly all of you have a martyr complex. Simply being free to practice your religion isn't enough. You need to make yourselves feel oppressed and thereby seek to force your faith on others through the government. This whining about the worthless U.S. fiat money is just more of the same.

Relax the coins are meant to have "IN GOD WE TRUST" on the coins. I am not sure who told you otherwise.

Check out this link, it shows exactly where the IN GOD WE TRUST is located.

Yes some were printed without, and these will be highly valuable, see the USA TODAY link posted above.

Oh, for crying out loud. It was an oversight. I don't know how it happened, since the Mint is usually so fastidious, but apparently it did. This is certainly not the first case of errors being made on coins and stamps.

Don't forget that "E Pluribus Unum" was also meant to be imprinted along the edge along with "In God We Trust." If only "In God We Trust" were missing, I might be more inclined to believe your conspiracy theory.

The leader of this country based his entire platform on belief in God and used it to play to the christian majority in this country. And look where it has gotten us in the areas of peace and security? Personally, I'd feel alot more peaceful and secure if we had a leader who could somewhat grasp the delicate concept of "logic".

Personally, its just money. I just don't understand why believers feel the need to justify their faith by seeing it everywhere. Just because your money doesn't read "In God We Trust" doesn't mean you aren't trusting in your god. So what? Get over it, people.

**EDIT -- By the way, if you don't even vote ... you shouldn't even BEGIN to complain about anything that happens in the government. Most christians have this persecution complex, like your rights are being taken away, but you don't even take advantage of the ones that you have!!

I read about this. Actually it got past the proofers...and the newer coins will have it corrected.

But my heart stopped for a moment when I saw it had been left off the coins. Intentional or not, it won't be permanent! At least not at this point.
