You forget that he came to earth and lived on this earth for 33 years. He voluntairly stepped out of heaven and came to this sick, sin filled world. Then He went to the cross in order to pay for mans sins, while on the cross the sins of the world were laid upon Him in order that He might pay for them, thus securing eternal life for those who would come to accept Him as Lord and Savior by faith.
Have you ever felt guilt? Have you ever felt remorse for something you have done? Have you ever had to pay for something you have done whether monitarily, or physically? Well imagine paying for every mans sins, imagine feeling that shame, remorse, guilt, and multiply it by 20 billion or so people who have lived throughout all of human history, and it's all on your shoulders. And then imagine that it's all on your shoulders and you have never done anything to deserve it, you have never sinned, or done wrong, and yet you are paying for the sins of all humanity throughout history.
That is what Jesus did, and that indeed is a great, un-matched sacrifice.

It wasn't just a couple days of torture. He was/is all knowing, all powerful, holy, sinless, God became a lowly, degraded, physically limited man. He didn't have to endure the pain and suffering that He went through. He did it out of love for us. No one forced Him to do this. Leaving the realms of Heaven and coming to earth was no "walk in the park". Plus Jesus suffered for the sin of all people of all time The PRIMARY thing I'd like to say is YOU WILL SIT BESIDE GOD IN HEAVEN TOO. IT TAKES FAITH IN GOD TO RECEIVE IT. This life's trials will last a given number of years then we will go to everlasting life, be it in Heaven or in Hell. So why don't people believe in, accept, Christ and gain this eternal, glorious life He offers? It may be a rat race on earth from time to time but following Christ will have eternal benefits. You/we can have the same as you describe Jesus as having, Take it...

With all due respect, I can tell you, that you have absolutely no concept of the mental pressure placed upon Him by Satan and those Satan was working through, to get Jesus to sin and blow the whole thing. Remember; Satan fore knew that Jesus was going to challenge him and ultimately, win over him as the then, ruler of the earth. Satan in his wrath tried to kill Jesus off when He was born. Satan was even, more determined to make Christ suffer at the hands of the cruelest people [Romans] by the harshest pain known to man [crucifixtion] , condemned by the most hypocritical "religious" people of the time [Jews, namely, the Pharasees and those of the upper echelon] ! Mainly though, Jesus was God in the human flesh and God, the Father, would accept nothing short than a perfect sacrifice for the sins of all humans ever, born. No human would ever, qualify for this.

Jesus sacrificed a great deal. He gave up his mortal life & went through a great deal of torture to wash away human sin. I highly doubt you could do that. If you do, perhaps then you can talk about "a couple days of torture" being no big deal. Also, consider yourself lucky that you make $75 for 8 hours of work. There are many people in the world who make much much less.

When you consider how many people the Romans crucified and you consider what the Jews went through in WW2, I don’t see a big sacrifice on the part of Jesus.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Peter 3:22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
How did god sacrifice his son, if is son is right beside him?

In the grand scheme of thing no his sacrifice was not much for he knew he would live forever in paradise. But it makes for a good story for the masses to accept. Would it had been a sacrifice for me to save an ant from a spider? If it put heaven in jeopardy then I might say it was a real sacrifice.
When will the world learn these concepts are out dated?

Well, he prophesized that he would rise from the dead.
He founded a world wide religion that's lasted 2000 years.
He "freed humanity" by dying.
He rose up and is none the worse for wear.
If you believe in the bible, by logical deduction (I know, that statement just doesn't seem right...) you'd have to accept that the sacrifice was absolutely minimal when compared to the reward.

Imagine having to experience every sin committed by every person, that be dead, alive, and yet to live. Imagine the guilt associated with it.

Don't talk like that about Him. You have no idea how much He suffered. God had to turn His back on Him--He endured Hell for His children. Because He has saved me, I will never know what Hell is like, and I hope you wont either.
