I'm curious, do a lot of religions acknowledge the memorial of Jesus death? I know in Luke 22:19, Jesus said to "keep doing this in remembrance of me." He was talking about the passover when Jesus drank the wine as a symbol of his blood and ate the loaf of bread which meant his body. Does your religion honor this night?

Yes, but the Bible just says "as often as you do this, do it in memory of me" so as often as you choose to do it is fine. Some do once a year, one a month or every other month, or every service (which could be a danger in that it would become more of a habit and not really mean much after a while) During Easter though we like to focus on the resurrection.

I don't know about religions and what they do. I am a Christian man and that means that I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Saviour and repented of sins. When I did this I was recreated in Christ Jesus just like all the others who did the same.

Upon this life changing deed I was led by the Father to the Word which is the Bible. Jesus Christ is the Word of God. There you have the blueprint of how we are to live our lives as we walk hand in hand with God each and everyday.

So what happened when Jesus Christ died on that cross at Calvary? You got it right. Jesus Christ became our Passover. He, Jesus Christ told us to remember this day and celebrate it each year.

This is the Highest Holy Day in the year for all Christians. Keep it Holy as God has instructed us.><>

When people jump up and down for joy that Christ
died for them, I want to THROW! They should be
ashamed that Christ had to die like that over our hard heads.
Holy Communion is something else entirely. We
have a natural/spiritual defensive shield. Our
aura. Holy Communion is a symbolic act that
actually lets that spiritual guard down, so the Holy Spirit can enter in and do it's work of healing and unifying the body of believers.

Oh---Lordy yes---I celebrate it by consuming copious amounts of hot cross buns--& chocolate eater eggs--I also remember the real origin of Easter by honoring the Pagan Goddess Ester--the Goddess of fertility (hence the chocolate Easter eggs)

Of course we do! Jesus willingly gave His life and suffered unimaginable torments to save us from Hell--an eternal separation from Him. We rejoice over His love and extraordinary sacrifice for us. But three days later He rose again, conquering death and Satan forever.

My religion pays homage to these actions leading up to Jesus' death as he predicted. We place more emphasis on his resurrection, though.
