some people say that Jesus is a prophet. a prophet is a person who takes GOD's advice and will have death. the scriptures say (Isaiah 9) that he shall be called powerful god and he has overcome the death. is he a prophet or son of god?

One lightyear is the distance light travels in an year. Since most of the stars are more than 6000 lightyears away the light coming from them have travelled more than 6000 years. Some stars are more than billions of light years away. Why is that light has travelled billions of years when universe is only 6000 years old?

i was wondering if there was an actual name for something like this: (wether it be psychologically or spiritually)
someone who embodies 1-trait/ideal/mannerism/etc. yet at the same time also embodies the extreme opposite of that trait. at the same time. however both traits are very strong. so their thoughts and behaviors are trying to be balanced between these two extremes. does this make any sense? so its always a type of balancing act between these two very different, very opposite, things. almost as if the person embodies everything all at once, yet the actions taken following these traits all depends on which one is higher at the moment. oh boy i hope this makes sense.

When we ask people to prove there is a God without resorting to faith (a belief without testable evidence), they sometimes resort to "cause the bibles says so." So please offer the testable evidence do you have that God dictated the Bible. Obviously "cause the Bible says so" is non-responsive. Mere say so is not evidence.

I am a 56 year life long Christian, and fully believe in the Bible, but in the last 10 years, when I am teaching 5 year olds the commandment to honor the father and thy mother, I always want to add a "but", if they are ............ (abusing). I would appreciate only answers from people who agree with this Christian value. If you don't agree with it, please post a question and it can be answered. Not asking for opinions on whether this is a good idea or not, just how to update it IF YOU KNOW HOW.

I ask this question because there is a man named Juan De Jesus that is a reformed herion addict, a smoker, a drinker that has made such claims. He has a huge following, I wonder why people are so gullible and willing to accept a person claiming to be the Son of God. Our savior. It is scary. You say your God knows all, so before creating Adam and Eve he knew they would sin, and in turn on Judgement Day Billions of people would be sent to hell and would get tortured for the rest of eternity.(many peaceful people are not Christians eg. 1 Billion Hindus, 600 million + Buddhists etc.)
So is your God such a entity who knows that at some point Of time would create a creation Whose many(billions) of Sons he knows in advance will suffer eternal pain.
Would he create a creation for whom he knows
one day HIS OWN SON JESUS WILL SUFFER very much.

No human father would create a ROBOT if he knew in advance that the ROBOT would torture his son.(In context to the fact GOD creating humans while knowing humans would torture his son JESUS one day)
Why Not Create A Creation Which Was As Perfect As Him (GOD)

Atleast I know that no KIND HUMAN BEING if granted the ability to create would create a creation whom he knows he would have to torture in the future.(In context to the fact GOD creating Human race while knowing in advance that many humans would be tortured in Hell).
Tell me would you give birth to your child if you know in advance that when he grows up he will be a mass murder and a danger to society and that one day you would have to kill him?
Kind Parents punish their children again and again when they make mistakes and do not allow them Free will to commit sin for his entire Life and in the end throw them into a pit of fire.

My Mom had cept one of her maginenes open, and I wanted to read it, so I saw the page she had bookmarked, and it is three vaccine shots...It's not that I'm afraid of shots(They don't hurt now) but I don't realy like the idea of getting something that will do that...I mean, It's not that I don't want an STD, I just don't belive in pre-martital sex...I am a Christian who's underneath the age of 18, and I'm probly not going to get married anytime...The magizene tells to go and ask your child's docter, and she's been on my back telling me that I'm going to get a check-up...Christians, what is your voice on this? I felt last night that God was speaking to me and telling me that my time is near. I am 31 yrs old and I have a husband and 3 children. all I could do is lay there and cry-I am not ready. I am a Christian and I have been saved, so I know I am going to Heaven.
